Clorox wipes actually work great. Sounds weird but it actually works excellently on weapon lights. Takes the carbon and lead residue right off.

Use white vinegar works like a charm and no residue on the lense after
You have to wipe off the carbon as soon as you're done.
I rub a little oil on mine before I shoot and it works for me no build up
