Hey YT. Today I’m sharing PART 1 of my Stag Arms Model 3 upgrades! I did this vid very RAW just opening the packages in front of the camera, and reading the directions as I went along. I cut in and out to not waste air time.

UPGRADE #1:
-ACE entry length stock: Model # ARFX-E $91.95
-DPMS 1″ Spacer: Model # BS-20 $39.95

Construction:
-Both Stock and Spacer are 6061 T-6 High Heat treated aluminum.
-Over tube foam is pressure tested, and resistant to solvents, gun oil, UV radiation (sunlight) freezing temps, salt water, sweat, and rough handling.

Benefits with this set up:
-2″ shorter than Factory Stock
-6.5oz lighter than Factory Stock
-Improved Comfort, ergonomics
-Consistent cheek/chin placement
-More secure Sling position

All hardware included. You will need an AR armorer tool, and varies Alan Wrenches. Locktite recommended.

STEPS:
1-Remove old stock, upper, buffer, and buffer spring
2-Holding buffer retention pin/spring in, screw in NEW buffer tube (included)
3-Attached spacer, and stock about half way to leave room for foam cover

  1. I just ordered the same stock but in standard 10" length for my WK180 (Canadian only AR variant). I've decided to add a different sling point, basically so the swivel attaches to the back of the stock, facing forward. I'll be drilling a sling hole in the back plate then attaching the rubber butt pad once it's done. The original ARFX slings had an attachment point there but I guess the new design doesn't have it.

  2. Love the ace stocks. Currently have the socom long adjustable on my sabre defence m4 and am looking at putting this stock on a 20" sabre I am putting together now. I've never understood the huge price difference in the socom and the ARFX I suppose it's because the socom is adjustable. God bless you all living in these communist states that have regulations on things as simple as stocks. I don't know how they get away with it and it must be embarrassing to own a stock that looks collapsible but really isnt. I would imagine that not many people abide by those rules. Hopefully all the ridiculous regulations will end with Emperor Trump in power and we can repeal the NFA and put the ATF in their place.

  3. i have this stock on my 458 socom but id like to switch to the 1inch thick butt pad. what id like to know is , is the hole depth on the thicker butt pad the same depth on the 1/2inch buttpad so that i can use the same top long buttpad screw as with the dpms spacer. does anyone know ????

  4. Thanks for video. I have a SIG M400 with Mill Spec buffer tube. I am looking at the 7.5 inch version of this stock. Will I need the spacer? Can't seem to get a proper answer from Ace so thinking you might know??

  5. I prefer the shorter Entry that came with all I needed and I wanted to be right up on the back of rifle. The ARFX is for the A2 with the longer rifle length tube. The entry length is meant for a carbine. I could have used the ARFX, but there a couple issues with that
1-I would need to buy a rifle length tube, and buffer
2-My cycle rate would have changed, because I'd be using a rifle tube with a carbine gas system. Some reliability issues may have surfaced. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

  6. Hi One More. yes and no. This Ace Stock is fixed, and not retractable. at 07:00 I show the stock with out the spacer. at 07:28 and 07:33 I show how the spacer extends the stock back 1" and the spacer fills that gap. Hope it helps.

  7. It looks like the 'extender' doesn't actually extend… doesn't actually give more length on the stock, it just makes it so that the most collapsed position of the stock cannot get as short. So at collapsed position it is an inch longer than previously, but with the stock fully extended, it's the same as without the extender. Am I correct?

  8. Damn man, Im sorry to hear that. I didn't ask it there were stock that it would not work for. Did you buy it right from ACE? If so their customer service is great, and they might be able to help get you a replacement tube. It might be worth checking out. Let me know how it goes if you go with that option. Thanks for the view and comment. Hope it helps.

  9. Yeah that makes sense. Thanks for the quick response. I was just wondering because I like the look of both the standard and the shorty, but generally prefer the longer length and just wasn't sure if there was some advantage I didn't consider. Thanks again!

  10. That's a fair question. I wanted to keep my carbine buffer, and spring, and I also wanted to option to remove the spacer and get really up on the gun. I hope that made sense. Thanks for the view and comment.
