My Streamlight experience: From old-school Polytac to 1000 lumen Protac HL-X USB

I go over my experience with Streamlight, demo the beams, and explain why they are my go-to brand for serious use. My next Streamlight will hopefully be a TLR-1 HL and the Protac 2AA. We really appreciate Streamlight for sponsoring the Protac HL-X for testing and review. I’m really digging the rechargeable aspect – for all those worried about a rechargeable’s safety and reliability, this battery has a safety circuit built in and according to Tech Support, has less self-discharge rate than CR123’s. Still a good idea to have CR123’s as spares when you don’t have time to recharge.

Invaluable (and free!) low-light training resources can be found by searching the YouTube archives of Sage Dynamics and Warrior Poet Society. Both are legit subject matter experts that also happen to use Streamlights.
