Gerber made one years ago called the omnivore took all 3 battery types still use mine
Streamlight flashlights are legit
Local amish store is where I got mine. $16.99 I love it. I like the streamlights. Have a couple different ones. Didn't know you can use AAA's either
Very well done. I thank you.
I purchased this flashlight ($40) just because I already had the Pro Tac 2L ($60) & after spending a small fortune on CR123A batteries over the years, I love that this has 3 different battery options. It's now part of my E.D.C./G.H. Bag, but I do have to admit my E.D.C. flashlight is now a Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 ($20) because of the more compact size & 2 OLIGHT 90 Lumens i3E EOS AAA Compact Keychain Flashlights ($10) on my car/house keychains. All of my CR123A battery flashlights are now just kept at home for puttering around with & a small stash of batteries. I do love having this as a backup flashlight to my E.D.C. though…
Streamlight sidewinder compact two,same deal
Great Review of the ProTac ! But a other BLACK FLASHLIGHT ?
I did not know about this light. Sounds like a great stocking stuffer
Used this light as my EDC light for the last year or so. Didn't know it could take the AAA batteries. So good to know. No complaints about it. Been running it with a rechargeable CR123 and it's been decent. Only complaint I have about it is the short run time. But otherwise it's a great light. Recently upgraded to the protac 2Lx because I thought I had lost my other one. Loved the duel fuel (and apparently triple fuel ) ability of this little light and it's now my backup light.
I keep this light as my backup to my main edc light, which happens to be the Protac 1L that takes only the CR123. That 1L has taken a MAJOR beating and is still running like a champ. Being that it’s much smaller than the 1L-1AA makes it a much better edc light. The 1L-1AA is just as good, and having the option to run the different battery is always a plus, tho I had no clue it took AAA’s as well. I’ll have to test that.
I too will endorse this light as well as the standard 1L! Great choices!
My 1L-1AA is a great edc light; not big and tactical and not so small you can’t hold onto it.
Ive had this light for a few years and i love it. It came in handy a few times defensively too because its one of the few tools i can have in school
I have this one for my BOB and emergency kit. For every reason you mentioned. Thanks guys!!
Finally, a Streamlight worth considering. Thanks for this one!
Awesome flashlight I have two they work every time! Take a beating….still work great. You can find a battery in every house in America…wall clocks, remote controls, games etc………
Love this light but when the battery goes it goes, it doesn’t slowly dim, it just dies. With no heads up on battery life, I’ve been left in the dark a time or two. But I’d still recommend it. Well worth the money.
Are there any other flash lights that can run on cr123, and AA? Other than this one I've found the Fenix Headlamp, but that one you need to carry the adapter.
If it was made by anyone other than streamlight maybe but I have had bad luck with this company in the past.
This is my EDC light and I love it. Hell I didn’t even know it could run a AAA battery.
Have StreamLight. Always worked well.
Not a fan of the multi function 10 settings flashlights… Seems overly complicated.
But I DO like the power source variability!!
Will investigate THIS model further.
Thank You for sharing the information!
very good flashlight, but very expensive. my 5 euro (dollars) flashlight who I modified myself can run 8 or 9 kinds of batteries with 2 kinds of led,and 4 modes.
Are you going to carry the blue one as well?
Hmmm well, my personal experience has been poor. Bought 2, both had issues after less than 1 year of use.
I hate when batteries run out of stores.
Surefire and Stremlight are the most overrated over priced flashlights on the market today.
I'm a flashlight guy,…you can't have enough flashlights. I always use to say, gimme a flashlight and a good knife and I'm good to go. 😁 Of course we do need a few more things, but at the end of the day, the more you know, the less you carry. Great light…gonna get one!! 👍 Thanks⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
O'light rechargable..
