Don’t comment saying I scratched my lower. In all reality it was my local gun shop that scratched it then installed the part incorrect. This video is to show you how to install your bolt catch release properly.
Spikes tactical enhanced bolt catch release
Wheeler ar15 roll pin tool kit
Magpul BEV block
Now we know where scratched and dent sales come from π³
I'd be putting TAPE underneath those areas as a precaution
DUDE! YOU SCRATCHED…. LOL, JK man! Good video. Changing out the standard bolt release on my new BCM lower for a forward control designs enhanced. This video helped.
Thank you
who cares its a hunk of shit anderson lower
allright
Where can i buy ar15 spare parts?
The Magpul bev block is a good tool but if you're changing a barrel the clam works much better .
Thanks for the help. I needed to uninstall my bolt catch in order to make space for an ambi mag release installation.
Not to be pedantic, but the Enhanced Bolt Catch you installed is from "Strike Industries"; not "Spikes Tactical".
dude you scratched the fuck out of that lower..keep ya day job bud
fuck you scratched the fuck out of that lower………godamn
Fuck scratches…yeah ! That's how I do it. Except my springs shoot out and I take 1/2 looking for it LOL. No fun w/o the spring popping to wherever it wants to go.
A bunch of people didn't read your video description and jumped to conclusions.

Grind one side of your roll pin punch flat and it will make life much easier. Another thing, when you have springs and detents out for service or replacement, clean out the hole first and lube it before re-assembly.
you scratched the shit out of that lower
Plastic hammer and a metal roll pin punch lmfao should have had plastic punch , & metal hammer ,, you must not care about the AR's looks ππΌππΌππΌππΌ
thanks john malkovich
I find that putting a n42 or stronger rubber coated super-magnet near the part I'm removing, helps catch parts that otherwise may get away from you.
Magnets are your friends when it comes to not losing springs and detents. I've never lost a spring loaded part when using a sufficient magnet. Just google rubber coated magnets.
bueller….. bueller….. bueller
geezz, a little tape on your lower would have prevented that nasty ass scratch. Ouch!
A little bit of Firearms Grease would have helped that Punch on the removal.
