  1. lol i broke the pocket clip to my protac 90 the first night i got it. im an idiot, but the idea was to use it for shirt pocket carry but the head kept getting covered by the fabric of my loose fitting shirt and the light was flopping around. i figured i could reverse the pocket clip and sure enough i snapped it. so i took the pocket clip off my zebralight h52…i think….and slapped it on there.

i love both of them but i think id go with the 1l-1aa over the 90. i also love 10 tap. my streams are high only but i can change them on the fly.

i do prefer a headlamp over the 90.

really tight spaces maybe the 90 and a mirror?

handgunning with the 90 either my grip wasnt right, or the light was pointed in the wrong direction. im sure you could train around it but im a harries or fbi hold kind of guy

  2. G'day Aaron, both decent torches in their own way. Would not be keen on buying CR123s to get the most out of them though. I always go for straight over 90 deg. Having said that; "90s" do make sense on a compatible headband to get the best of both worlds. Personally, I'm a Thrunight user and EDC either of the Archers 1A V3, 2A V3 or TC12 V2 with a Niteze head strap. Ultimately, if your primary use is hands free, go the 90. If primary usage is as a handheld torch, that can be hands free, go the straight. Cheers Duke.

  3. Nice thing about this for leos or shtf, if you mount it on your hip anyone shooting at the light is less likely to hit your head or chest like they would if you are holding or head mounting it or strapping it to a plate carrier.

  4. I need to get me a new flashlight for EDC,the one I currently have I a bit too long and runs on 2 of the 123 batteries which are ridiculously expensive, especially when you consider how fast they burn up..I gotta get something rechargeable ASAP and quit wasting my money on batteries..I want to step it up from the 400 lumens of my current flashlight to something with around 1,000 lumens too

  5. That was a VERY good intro. It was direct, concise and informative. Both are nice lights. I rock a Fenix PD35TAC as my EDC but do like a 90 deg mounted on a carrier or even when attaching to a kid at night while camping.

  6. Nice video! One consultation, if you ask, I have a Becker BK16 and an Esee Jg5 and I love these knives. I want to buy one more, flat grind, Kephart or Bushcraft style with an approximate size of 8.5 to 9.5" overall lenght. Can you, if it's all right, recommend some? thanks you!
