  1. Off topic question maybe mike or someone can answer. Bought a Springfield EMP 4 CCC last month for a possible carry gun when I retire and go way away in the bush. I have a TRP and it has been flawless. I’ve carried a g19 since separating from the military(2004). I used the M9 and a 1911(made from a Springfield slide, barsto barrel, Remington frame and Wilson mags) without issue.
This EMP had light primer strikes and ftfeed issues within a hundred rounds. I failed to catch the first few since I practice with dummies. Yes, I meticulously cleaned and lubed it prior. Many forums and YouTube videos concur they had the same issues. Returned the pistol to Springfield. While it was there I asked if they had any tritium sights that fit since Trijicon didn’t make the HD sights for this model. Springfield does and wanted $175 for the sights and installation plus $35 for shipping. I have no issue paying for the sights, but after spending over $1200 on the pistol, plus mags and holster/mag carrier, on a pistol that fails to work, they want money for installation and shipping? Is that how customer service works? The shipping is covered under warranty unless you have “custom” work done. Changing sights is custom work? F that.
They replaced the slide and barrel(and I see they used the old sights; guess that’s not custom) and six weeks later I received it back. Took it out today and three mags went great, then…every other round was a light strike. I ran three of those rounds through my 19 and they went.
To my question, has anyone had a situation like this? I have zero confidence with this pistol regardless of what they plan to fix this time. Aside from my M9 and TRP, I don’t collect guns. I’d love to have lots more, but running my work rifles and pistols eats up the capital for the guns I’d like to have.
    Any intelligence would be forthcoming.
    Thanks

  2. Good stuff. You always have a realistic breakdown of pros and cons. Unfortunately, MAC tends to come across as a couch commando. He may not be a couch commando, but it's tough to prove otherwise. You sir, are the real deal and are always informative in the correct way. Thanks for that.

  3. Time to start buying guns like they’re going to stop making them. I’d be surprised if Trump gets re-elected and if that happens the left is coming after them unfortunately
