  1. Standing in a low-light area and aiming at a bright area is really about the only advantage that a battery-powered red dot has over this sight, I have an ACOG but I have to admit, I’m cravin’ me an MRO right now!

  2. I just bought one of these Trijicon RX34 Reflex Sights and they are nothing but a total POS! I had to send the first one back because there was no dot, period. I received the second reflex sight and the only way you can see a dot is to shine a ultra high intensity flashlight on the fiber optic bundle. In low or moderate light conditions, they simply do not work. Even in bright sunlight the dot was just barely visible. DO NOT waste your money on one of these pieces of garbage!!! I'd certainly hate to have my life depend on one of these. I'm sending it back to Optics Planet and procuring a different brand.

  3. Option for using large MOA red dots: Mount your red dot further up the receiver to shrink the relative MOA to your sight picture. I used a cheap Vortex cantilever mount on my service rifle that pushes a M68 CCO (Comp M2) a couple inches forward from the upper receiver. Cuts the dot down to a little less than 2 MOA relative. 25m zero at the bottom of the dot (300m POI on an issue M4), 50/200m will then strike the middle, at 100 meters the POI is at the top of the dot. Poor mans bullet drop compensator.
I wish Trijicon would put out a triangle reticle at around 6 MOA for this. The top vertex would be perfect for 100m precision zero, the bulk ideal for CQB. It would be an ideal sight for my SAW, not as difficult for MOUT as an M145 (Elcan). I don't know any units fielding the RX34 (or any Trijicon reflex sight) on any platform. It's pretty much 80% Aimpoints, 5% EoTechs, and 15% ACOGs.

  4. i love this sight in Payday 2, its called the Solar Sight in that game but damn is it fun to use with the Swedish AK5 and HS Produkt VHS2, if youre a fan of FPS video games its definitely a game worth checking out
