Shooting junk in the desert with the CMMG .22lr conversion for AR-15’s with my Rock River Arms carbine. Been using this conversion for over a year with about 95% reliability. I have put close to 10,000 rounds through the kit (i love shooting .22lr). There was a bit of a break in period when I first got the kit, but after about the first 500 rounds or so it now functions near flawless (says alot being a .22 and all..) I do not recommend using “hyper velocity” rounds as you will find that they go everywhere except what you are aiming at. Use standard or high velocity rounds only. I usually shoot what you’ll see in the video, cheap, cheap, cheap federal bulk ammunition and it runs great. I’ll usually top off an hour of shooting the .22’s by putting the original AR bolt back in place and blasting the gunk out with some .223 remington. If you cannot do that then I recommend REMOVING the .22lr conversion after shooting, as it is possible to experience some issues removing it later.

Hahaha home protection by police what a useless reject
Well sorry, this is a different country 🙂
well in my country home protection is done by the police, not by ppl with guns
What? You think there's a cop on every block looking out for criminals? No, the police get there after the crime was comited.
home protection? what is the police doing in america that u need a gun to protect your houses lol?
Oh arite
the bullet is practally the same diameter. the .223/5.56mm just has a bigger case so its alot stronger.
O arighy
The bullet diameter is pretty much the same for .22lr and .223/5.56. The conversion kit fits into the 5.56 chamber and the .22lr fits inside of that part of the conversion kit.
How does a 223 or 556 shoot out of a 22lr barrel though?
So u can still toss your regular 556. barrel back on it easiky right? And if so how long does that take
haha no, this spot is probably about 90 miles east of Wittman. just outside of Florence.
Where do you shoot out? Looks like a spot out in Wittmann.
I would think this would be good for tactical training classes where they have you shoot a bunch if ammo. 22 would save a bunch
Aye man can you use any 22lr tactical mag. Like what comes with the m&p15-22. or the mossburg model. BC if not finding mags for this conversion kit would be hard. Or am i wrong.
@stubbe0111 That gun in California!? GTFO! xD That is pure evil there!
@wrduckclub a 22 would deffinitely kill some one but I'm getting a 5.56 NATO
@379peterbilt530 Yeppers……………….if you're protecting your home from beer cans! Come on you can't be serious.
is that @ pichao state park in california
@malro67 fuck you a 22 can fuck someone up
@379peterbilt530 While a .22 might not having the punch of a 5.56 or .223 – it doe smuch more damage internally when you actually do shoot soft targets. So yes, in fact, it could be used well for home protection.
WHen you use the kit, does the forward assist still work? I noticed you used the chagre to reload.
