  1. If it gets too heavy you/she should put a sling on it.
    One can use a one, two and three point sling to stabilise the gun and take the weight off the arms even while aiming if done right.

  2. I wonder if you could get the thinker red filled? I painted the barrel on my DPMS G2 OD Green when I changed the forearm rail. Not good Duracoat, just high temp spray paint. It’s held up really well. I’ve got it blazing hot a few times and pretty much beat and banged around with it since. So…good idea on the barrel too, I’d say

  3. Have you looked into the 350 Legend. I was going to build my daughter a similar rifle/pistol she could hunt deer with in 350 and have a defensive upper in .223 she could then select between. If for no other reason to keep the manual of use the same on her hunting gun, building familiarity with the AR system.

  4. Painting the buffer tube wouldn’t be the right look. Maybe the barrel, all the buttons and switches, and some select hardware around the gun.

    But really, get ya boy to set you up with some red riptile 😎
