  1. If you do a 10.3” Crane Spec gas port and barrel, you wont compromise accuracy or lethality unless its passed about 400m. Put a law tactical buffer folding system on there and the 10.3” barrel is good to go. Simple and effective. Also as accurate as a 14.5”-16” barrel up to 400m. In an active shooter situation if youre far enough to evade you do so. Keeps the “what if” questions about the comment from popping up.

  2. People don't realize how great these things can be. In a lot of states, the concealed carry permits only works with pistols. So, even if you have a big bag that will fit a carbine with a folding stock or a bullpup, its still a rifle and can't be carried concealed.

  3. I prefer my racket ball , racket soft case, for my PAP 92 or my AR 15 pistol, I can carry both with magazines installed and sling it over my back and no one gives it a second look.

  4. cool looking little pistol man. i'm gonna build one after i finish my new rifle. still need a few more parts… those parts are gonna run me around a thousand dollars though. but i'm going to order a daytona pistol kit, with a mag and sights i'm right around a five hundred bucks total on it. i like that it fits into a back pack. i was thinking of a 10.5" over a 7.5" but idk this thing conceals really well. only thing is the 10.5" has about 600 more fps behind it… for 3" it may be worth the extra length but idk.

  5. a 5.56 with a 5 inch barrel is still more deadly then a 9mm with a 5 inch barrel. I have personally seen a AR Pistol with a 5 inch barrel push a 5.56 at 1500 fps. More was obtained using pistol powder and 69g bullets. Now that alloy bullets are being made that are lighter but the same size you can push the limits of a 5.56 in a short barrel. You can make a 50g 9mm thats the same size as a 115g but moves 2x faster. Look at civil defense 9mm. They come out the barrel at 2000+ fps and can pierce lvl 3a body armor. Imagine what a 5.56 that weighs 20g but the size of a 69g could do.

  6. I think for a close range situation 556 in a short barrel is okay. Maybe a heavier bullet will help. As long as you don't plan on keeping the full range you should be okay. 300 BLK addresses this issue pretty well. 556 should still be more lethal than lets just say a 9mm MP5 or the like.

  7. I think the most dangerous thing about this isn't even the shitty ballistics of 5.56 out of such a short barrel, it's that once you pull this blaster out to respond during a mass shooting, you're gonna get popped by someone with a concealed carry pistol who thinks you're one of the bad guys. I know that if I was getting shot up and I saw someone that looked like you do holding a gun like that…. Well you get the point, yeah? Stick with a decent, normal, handgun and don't complicate stuff.

  8. Doesnt matter what they think about whats being pointed at them. If you have to use it and its not going to be reliable whats the point? On top of that, you have an arm brace, more likely than not youre going to shoulder it out of training habits. Boom you have to shoot someone, its caught on cctv, now the court, lawyers, leo, and everyone just saw you break a NFA law and ATF ruling. 5.56 out of a sub 11.5" barrel is NOT reliable and for the work you have to do to make it some what reliable you might as well get a 300blk upper. Ballistics will be bang on, short barrel that works, pay $200 for the tax stamp so you dont have to worry about the ATF throwing a book at you.

  9. Good idea, I use a ak under folder for my "backpack carry" same concept. A 7.5 Ar in you're hand loaded with the right ammo is better than a16 inch Ar sitting at home.

  10. Dude… Facepalm… I totally forgot maybe one more thing you could try with your pistol. See if it cycles better with some 62 grain rounds (maybe rock some higher grain if you got some)

  11. Wait so you're plan is that once the aggressor sees your pistol he'll stop fighting? I was taught at Tactical Response that you never pull a gun in hopes of scaring off an aggressor, you only pull out a gun when you're life is in danger and you need to stop that threat. That's the problem with a 7" 5.56, it's not good at stopping threats.
