Red locktight?… why??? What if you wanted to switch to a piston or something happened that required you to get it off? Drilling out the bolt holes 1/16 into the barrel would give you a mechanical advantage rather than a chemical.
Do you have to enlarge the ejection port and do you run into any ejection problems? Also do you have to do anything with the gas port? Such as enlarging the the port? Thanks
so how do the bolts hold up to being cut so thin to fit the 45 cartage. I know the 7.62×39 bolts has some issues with breaking from being weakened by using a AR bolt thinned out to fit the bigger case.

Wow thanks for quick response. Did you buy it at bullseye in north branch? I read somewhere that they're the exclusive dealer. I just live down in faribault about 100 miles south of where they're made.
I think they are really nice. When I was in the shop doing the transfer on it, The owner used it as an example of excellent fit and finish to another customer. As good as a Mega imo.
@clayton758 Use blue if you want to be able to get it back apart easier someday. I'm not planning on stripping it down any time soon and the red loctite is higher temp resistant. Just the choice I made….to each their own 🙂
@weaponeer
The only draw back is the price of ammo. I can see you using the bolt with the larger face and a smaller caliber barrel and come up with something unique. something in the 6-6.5mm range would be cool.

To each his own, just never heard of that before.

I'm new to building ARs so please excuse my ignorance. But to build a 450 BM you can use a regular AR15 lower?

How would you rate the BCW lower on quality? Guy wants to trade me my Saiga 12 for an AR with a BCW lower and I can barely find anything about them.
@MrKing91191 I used a matched set(upper and lower) from BCW.(Branch custom weaponry)
wat upper did u use?

I had heard that you should only use Blue locktite.
any reason that you used rde instead of blue?
