the mil spec stock is the smaller one. use it.
the commercial tube is larger, 6 position and the back is angled, thats how you know the difference. install it.
in a lathe, put a piece of 3/4 or so bar stock with sand paper taped on it.
slide stock on bar, run lathe and try to make inside diameter larger, checking often for the stock to barely slide on tube. really tight.
mine is a full auto and i only use short for safe and 2nd hole to shoot. tight
