Noveske NSR (Skinny Rail) for AR-15

– I got a new handguard for my AR-15 (aka Sprinkles) and I love it! It is the new Noveske NSR (skinny rail), which is a lightweight, low-profile, free-floating handguard that gives me alot more control when handling my rifle. I have small hands so this new rail makes a big difference for me. In this video I do some shooting with my new setup, give some info on the NSR, and compare it to the previous handguard I was using (Midwest Industries drop-in handguard). More info can be found at

  1. You know that Noveske doesn't make these key mods and you can pick up this same rail for $30 on Ebay but it doesn't come with the Noveske logo so if you want spend an extra $200 for the identical rail go for it.

  2. i cant get those pieces on me noveske for the life of me… I gave up and just decided to leave it as it is… does it make a big difference in terms of weight and performance??

  3. very good video, good shooting! also, Dikwad Shabasshole, I mean Diquan Shabazz is an idiot.  I don't know what rifle he's calling cheap. He says he shoots the hk 416 and sig516, maybe on xbox. the hk 416 isn't even available to civilians.

  4. Good review but that part about drilling into the upper receiver to use anti-rotation pins is a "no go"! Looks really good on your rifle though. Keep up the good work.

  5. Probably not. At least not without some modification, even then, it might just require destroying the rail.
Keep in mind that you have to open up 2-3" hollow gap across the top half of the rail just to fit a Noveske Switchblock under one, so getting a piston kit under there would be hard to do.
If you're running a piston gun, you probably aren't really the type to appreciate a lightweight gun, though, since Stoner designed the system specifically to eliminate the need for a piston/oprod.

  6. Always love watching videos of women enjoying the 2nd amendment as much as I do as a male. Keep up the awesome videos and keep supporting our freedoms and people will support you 🙂

  7. It's not the sights that block it from sliding on that way. It's the Noveske rail that hangs a bit lower than the other picatinny on the receiver. She'd have to take off the entire rail. Seems she's not comfortable doing it herself, and had already gone to the trouble of paying for a professional install, so it makes more sense to just buy a more versatile mount.

  8. why would you want it on one ??, probably not, most LWRC's have an integrated upper receiver, theyre plain jane doesnt so that one might, but not any of theyre big boys
