I just got a M&P sport 2 (MagPul rear,grip,heat guard). It is obviously a 16". My first 5.56 and i'm already looking at the PSA 20" 1:7 twist complete upper. It's around $350. Would i be wrong in assuming that the accuracy of a 20" is substantially greater than a 16? I've read enough to know that beyond 20" of barrel you are actually LOSING velocity, so 20 is the perfect length for 300+ yard reliability(which is what i want out of my AR).
I've always wanted to toothbrush on my AR. Then I wouldn't forget to brush my teeth when I go to bed with it.
Is that just a drop in handguard ?
PSA can ship very slowly and their customer service isn't too great but the products are decent.
So the inside the barrel is nitride?
I just got the same 20 inch upper with BCG and charging handle for 280.00 free shipping got it in a week. 2 days after I ordered it it's out of stock.
what was the accuracy
I just ordered this same upper for an M16 replica style build. Got it for $299 with free shipping. How has it worked out for you? I'm planning to put a detachable carry handle on it. Wanted a fixed A2 upper but those are so hard to find. Might get a stripped upper later on and switch all the parts over.
PSA is great. My 16" melonite freedom upper hits quarter size groupings with open sights.
i'm a mini 14 guy so i thought this was gonna be a public service announcement. my dream ar would be one that looked like a vietnam era m16, maybe with the slayer lower if you've ever seen that, with the ontario m9 bayonet and if i could get a tax stamp and figure out where to get one, a master key.
Makes me sick what I paid for 5 per. Going now for $300 and free shipping.
nice upper from PSA….they have some pretty good quality parts….I'll be on the lookout for the build completion

I have the same upper, sadly have not gotten to shoot it much. Fill us in how it performs in the future.
