I have worked on my own guns for 50 years ,but I get different answers to this question.: Does it weaken springs to keep magazines loaded or not. Some say only loading & unloading (shooting) wears out the springs.What do you think ?
I wish it was a AR 10 in .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor. But ammo is expensive
When I was building my AR 15 I was doing a lot of research on a lot of websites to find the best prices for the parts that I wanted for my build. Brownell's never made the cut on any part that I ordered, their prices are just too high. Not even so much as a lower parts kit, and my one half moa AR cost me over $1800 after military discount…
Personally, I like the Troy Ambi bolt catch over the Magpul BAD lever. Like the BAD lever, I just think the Troy is a bit sturdier. Also would go with the the Primary Arms 3x prism sight over the ACOG (just because of price). Lastly, I like the Streamlight Protac rail mount 1. Awesome video, though, and look forward to seeing the whole series. Oh, and love the 'stache!

How is this difference from building from scratch other than this is probably way more expensive…?

You were on a roll until you got to some of the ambi parts. Troy is by far a better choice,.. in my book. They have cleaner lines and just work better, for me. To each and all that. Still enjoy you reviews.
