This is a review on the Streamlight ProTac 1L-1AA. This flashlight is great buy for a lot of reasons. When comes to the first choice for tactical lights or every day carry lights, Streamlight is sometimes considered second best. This light has their new “duel fuel” option which allows the user to drop in 2 different types of batteries without the need for attachments or adapters. its not just duel fuel btw. i have run aaa's, aa's, CR123's, and with some modification to take out the spacers, you could even run an 18650 in it. hope this helps!
Thanks for the review, I was going to settle for a fenix aa, but I got this light after watching. This has everything I wanted in a pocket light and even put on the zip tie mod!
This flashlight accepts 14500 battery?
I don't know how streamlight could be considered second best. Just about every other cop I know who has at least 15yrs in had the stinger model. I have this light and many more streamlight flashlights. Surefire way overpriced imho. This is a great little light and the price under 40 on ebay is a steal.
The 1L 1AA does give you option for low and hi only w/o strobe. I know your video is old so just thought I would type that so you guys know.

Reference your second issue with the light, according to Streamlight the ten-tap programming does allow you to set it to a mode where you can toggle between high and low without the strobe. Here's the three different modes they say you can set it to: 1.) high/strobe/low; 2.) high only; 3.) low/high

Did you guys find that the light was more of a yellow color on the 1L-1AA vs the 1L? My tail cap is also way harder to shut off constant on than my 1L. Thanks!
All of the Streamlights I own, after years of use, are still running strong as well. Glad I found your review b/c I recently saw this light at Cabelas and was extremely enticed! But, of course, it was way over priced. I did fall for the newer Protac 1AAA. So far, it's excellent. Brightest, smoothest 70 lumen beam I have seen. It's as if they Hulked the Microstream. Aside from Olight, another favorite brand of mine, Streamlight makes some of the best quality and value flashlights to own, IMO. So far, I haven't had any use to change the "TenTap" Programming, but it's an original, unique feature Streamlight offers. I'm sure it could come in handy if you were to lend it to someone.
