Today, Senators Ronnie Johns and Eric LaFleur voted against a pro-gun bill that would protect law-abiding gun owners against a potential patchwork of gun control ordinances throughout the state.

House Bill 281, sponsored by Rep. Blake Miguez, removes vague language in Louisiana’s existing preemption statute to prevent a patchwork of laws throughout the state that could potentially and unknowingly turn a law-abiding gun owner into a criminal.  It is important to note that this bill does not change the places that are currently prohibited under state law.

Please contact Senators Ronnie Johns and Eric LeFleur and express your disappointment with their decision to side with Bloomberg’s Gun Control lobby over law-abiding gun owners.
