Today we are covering the Spikes Tactical buffer tube kit. This is a one stop shop for any of you looking to pick up a buffer tube for your AR pistol. Spikes Tactical includes everything you need. The buffer tube, buffer, buffer spring, end plate and castle nut. Now for the main attraction, the ST T2 buffer. This buffer is filled with a Tungsten powder. This powder is silent as your AR cycles and should help with felt recoil. The heavier buffer weighs between 4 and 4.5 ounces. your standard AR buffer weighs in at 2.9 ounces so the ST T2 is a tad heavier. Time will tell if this really does what they say it should. It seems to be the most popular buffer tube for SBRs and AR pistols, so it should work just fine. Thanks for watching.

  1. Building a 10.5 inch 300 blackout pistol with a pistol length gas system, gas block is not adjustable just a micro gas block. Have a kak shockwave buffer tube. Do you have any suggestions on a buffer and spring to use for this setup?

  2. Everyone thinks a heavier buffer means less recoil but it’s just the opposite. Want to lower your recoil? Use a flat wire spring with the lightest buffer that will cycle the gun properly.

  3. I was just looking for reviews on this.  I have this sitting in my "cart" until I saw something like this.  Where did you pick your kit from?  Thank you for this.  Excited to see the final product!

  4. I have a couple ST-T2 buffers, when I put it in my 10.5in AR pistol it just wouldn't work. Kept jamming and short stroking, but to be honest…I put one in my 16in AR rifle and didn't notice anything different, switched back and forth between the ST-T2 and carbine buffers and couldn't feel any improvements really. Some say it's a world of difference, but I don't see it. It's still staying in my rifle though but not the pistol

  5. What barrel length are you going for? I am working on a pistol build now thanks to you! 7.5 inch barrel, 9 inch NSR rail, waiting for the new Noveske "Pig" KX5 Flash Suppressor. It is lighter and slightly smaller than the KX3 so it will fit inside the NSR rail.

  6. I'm running the RRA pistol buffer tube and it's built like a tank.  Also decided to go with the Magpul ASAP end plate/sling plate thinggie.  Got the ST-T2 beffer and the spike 17-7 buffer spring.  I got a 10.5" A3 upper, and I'm running a cobra tactical AFG.  Haven't shot my AR pistol yet, so I can't comment on the buffer yet…. but I too have heard nothing but good about it.  Oh and I'm also running the gunfighter charging handle (mod4), the "training model only" because it was $25 and on Bravo company's site, they said the charging handle would work 100%.
