I think the biggest advantage of shooting 7.62×39 in an AR over an AK is the modular system and ease of mounting optics and such. As easy as it is to repair an AR, you don't have to worry about bolt carrier and trunion problems.
ARs in 7.62×39 typically suck because the magwell of an AR just doesn't like to feed to shape of that round, which is why the Hybrid guns like PSA's KS47 are so awesome. An AK magazine locked into an AR type gun may not seem natural but it sure does kick ass. I like mine so much, that I want to buy another in the pistol version.
Nice!!!
I like the 7.62 x39 cartridge, but not in an AR platform. Too many issues for the money spent. Better off with an AK or SKS. I'll stick with 556, 300blk, and 458 for AR platform. Plus all of them can use the same magazines without a ton of issues…usually the only issues are with 556 designated mags when loaded with 300blk sub sonic rounds, they tend to hang up from time to time but is easily resolved with a 300blk dedicated magazine.
Generally AK’s are more reliable in combat environments.
The 7.62×39 is a kill round instead of the “maiming round” .223/5.56 nato.
They also punch through cinder block and concrete which is a cover buster.
The AK has a good accuracy up to 3-400 yards and have killed at 500 yards. An AR platform just add a 20 or 24” barrel for better grouping.
Reliability on an AR type just pay the money and get a Mutant from IWI.
I thought about a CHF barrel but in all honesty the average shooter really will never see the difference
What's the shortest you'll go for a 7.62 barrel without losing too much ballistics? I'm surprised that there weren't huge fireballs coming out of that muzzle. On my 556 pistol, I had to put a flash can on it. Maybe 7.62 is different.
Why aren’t you shouldering the SBA3 brace??? Isn’t it supposed to be okay per the BATFE?
were did you find a polymer mags all i can find is steel.
i have 2 cp mags and they work flawlessly 😊
How dare you use 10 round restricted mags…your gin screamz to be fed large 30 cal freedom…..FEED YOUR WEAPPN LIKE YOU WOULD YOUR KIDS ….FREEDOM DOSENT KNOCK IT RINGS…ok hahaha jist kiddong but if you can test 30 rounders cpd gen 3 mags or asc mags and a dremel tool to them to smooth out the reinforcing dimples under the metal magazines feed lips cycles so smooth after that
