I bought a cz scorpion used with this optic. Had never heard of it and thought it would be junk but I'm loving it. Swapped on a romeo 5 and moved this to main rifle

anyone have an idea on how to minimize the light coming out of the scope? I bought it for hunting, but there is a lot of light coming out of the red dot, afraid deer will see it. I called vortex, and they said that there is no kill flash. hard to see the reticle with the power off.
How in the world can it be parallax free and still be etched? Also, why are you wearing reading glasses shooting a rifle?

You used a shell casing to adjust your windage, there is a raise indent on the caps for that application

I just watched the review for the third time, well done and worth the watch. I noticed that is some cases you were using some kind of table rifle mount to steady the AR. What kind of mount were you using?

I have both the 1X Spitfire (as shown) as well as the 3x Spitfire (as mentioned)…I am 100% pleased with both. The 3X reticle is "busier" with the ranging marks than the 1X, which is a simple circle and dot…but both are clear and crisp, illuminated or not. This is a good solid review on a good product produced by a company with a good reputation for customer satisfaction. It's true they are imported, but Leupold no longer makes their prismatic scopes, so imported is what we have left at a reasonable price point for etched reticle optics. Again, I am satisfied with Vortex…they may be reasonably priced, but they are not "cheap" optics.
if you reverse the cap you can adjust the sights without using a coin or empty shell

Have you tried this sight with a 308 cal rifle? I've heard that the marks on the Reticle are only accurate using a 22cal, this just didn't seem right to me.
The caps are tagged for using as a screwdriver on your turrets.
are you able to get a clear sight picture with stock fully extended and the magpul rear flip up sight still in place ?
Can you shoot with both eyes open like with an aimpoint? I have mild astigmatism, and my comp m2 starbursts like crazy.

how many yards can you use this. wonder if it's fine for up to 500 yards.
I wonder if this scope will be good for 300 yards to 500 yards. I personally don't like the long scopes on a ar 15. cause it takes up part of the gun.
