Walk through of installation of saddle optic mount for browsing bps. This is a smooth bore 12 gauge setup for birds that we wanted to install a scope on for deer season.

Overall installation time 10 min
DIY level = easy
Requires hammer and knowledge of gun assembly/disassembly.

Will follow up after install scope and attempt to sight gun in.

Scope will be a Nikon slug hunter 3×9 with bdc reticle at 100yds.

  1. How did it go? I became a recent big fan of shotgun slugs. I was looking for a gun and I had a Winchester SXP field laying around and I tried the deer slugs and the magnum slugs and I love the accuracy. Now i also have a Vortex red dot laying around and I though if I could combine the two then I have no need for a rifle. My original plan was getting a 308 but now I'm more into slugs. So let me know how's it going with your scoped shotgun. I am looking for a scope mount at the moment.
