  1. Everyone tells me you can get a full powder burn on an 8 to 10 inch barrel with x39 powder charge and 5.56 is a 12on barrel minimum to not spit fire..if i wqs gonna get a ar15 pistol upper in 7.62×39 would i get a 10.5in ..a 12in or a 14 5in or honestly just go with the rifle 16in build and forget the shorter barrels??? Im asking for tactical and possibly hunting reasons and getting rid of coyotes and boar reasons any help would be good?

  2. When I built my Ar-15 in 7.62×39 asc mags was all I could find I have 4. I had issues with the round hitting the front lip a lot. I decided to look at a AK mag and used my Dremel and made the asc look like the AK mag now I have zero problems just my 2 cents awesome video!!

  3. Correction on Brownell's sending new parts, they will make you send in the entire BCG before they send you a new replacement extractor. At lease that's what they always do to me.

  4. Seems like it might be better just to go 300BLK in an AR platform. 300BLK super's have similar ballistics to 762×39 correct? Seems like it would be easier to get it more reliable. Only drawback is the price of ammo. Which is a pretty big drawback I suppose.

  5. Very cool build Mike!! Ive always wanted to build one but was hesitant due to a lot of problems Ive seen others go through. I do have a blackout but may and try a build myself! Thank you!

  6. Use a Hyperfire Hipertouch trigger with their strongest springs and an extended firing pin you'll never have a light primer strike again. I use it on all my 5.45, 6.5 Grendel, and 7.62 builds and they run perfectly

  7. You lost me at Faxon… they sent me an out of spec barrel, one of their reps said they would make it right when the next batch of barrels were made and went radio silent.

  8. i did a 7.62×39 build and i used the hiperfirce competition trigger with tge heaviest spring set and it is the lightest nicest triggr ive ever had beating geissele timney and cmc and never had a single light primer strike again so it runs like a tank now,,,,alsoo have to make sure the firing pin is enhanced cuase it strikes priers deeper

  9. I had built a ar in 7.62×39 few years ago and learrned pretty much the same thing. I had bought 2 D&H mags and they would never work right for me. Maybe they got them ironed out now.

  10. Also I messed up and ordered 2 ASC mags they are trash. Had to send 1 back and had to bend the metal guides (follower's) hell I don't know what they are called LoL on top of the other one so the bullet would be high enough to load the last bullet.

  11. Great Video! I have a 7.62x39mm AR15 that I have had since the Late 90s when I purchased a Colt 7.62×39 16 inch Hbar Carbine Upper I did not permanently mated to a lower till 2012 when I build a Spikes Tactical lower and I had the same issue the light primer strikes but that issue was RESOLVED when I went to the Wolffs Extra Power Hammer Spring and ever since then I have not had ANY ISSUES with LIght Primer Strikes and I have noticed such an increase in Reliability that I Swapped ALL my Hammer Springs to the Wolffs Extra Power Hammer Spring on ALL my ARs including my 9mm AR Pistol.

    I am a Big Fan of 7.62×39 that I have the AR, Ruger Mini-30 and the Gen 2 Sig 556R but I still have not gotten an AK because I like the extra Kinetic Energy the 7.62 PACT delivers over the 5.56 but I like accuracy as well and I have not found an accurate AK so far. The Sig 556R is considered by many to be the Swiss AK and the CHF 16 inch barrel is AWESOME and I have been able to get half inch groups with Winchester PDX ammo at 100 yards using an Optic. My Colt for some reason will not do better than 1 inch groups at 100 yards using optics. The Ruger Mini-30 with its very thin barrel can only deliver a 1.5 inch group and that was with a 147gr Match FMJs 308 projectiles that I hand loaded a while back but I have not remade for the other 2 rifles.

  12. BEWARE!! The ONLY reliable 7.62×39 AR-15 magazine is the box 10 round design. These 30 rounders are DESIGN DEFECTIVE as there is NO WAY a spring can function for long in this shape of mag body, the followers will eventually start to tilt due to uneven spring tension, and a NON TILT follower can't solve the problem as it can't travel in this twisted mag shape. The 30 rounders are for playtime at the range ONLY, so NOT use these for personal defense! These Tac-cool youtube warriors don't tell you this!

  13. I'm surprised you didn't go with an AIM surplus BCG considering Faxon uses their Bcgs for setting head space and testing not to mention they are in the same town as each other. And also you should check into Hiperfire edt 2 trigger way better and way cheaper than the G BS

  14. I'm a bit surprised that you built a rifle based on the wonky 7.62 AR mags.  I would have thought you would have gone with a lower that used the AK mags.  If it works it works and I'm glad your got yours running reliably.  {/// 300,000 SUBS ///}
