Building a 9mm AR-15 (AR-9) on the cheap for $600. This is the final video in the series as we take it to the range, run it and I give you my range report on the outcome of this build.
Anderson stripped lower – LGS

CMT lower parts kit –
ProMag 9mm AR15 Magblock –
Stripped upper and 9mm BCG:

Magpul Sl-K Stock:
Magpul SL Carbine handguard:
The reason why you have all that damage on your buffer is because that is an extended buffer that is designed for 9mm, .40 and .45acp pistol calibers in blowback design.
You did the quarter spacer trick that you need to do with a standard "short" buffer that is too short and can cause damage to mag catch assembly.
Replace that buffer with the same buffer and take those damn quarters out!
So $600 included your tax stamp?
Yankee hill front sight should work for you
Guy, there's a Glock mag insert you can get for $150. You might want to try that.
What you mean by standard Do you mean 556 trigger
I built one using an Anderson lower,Anderson upper, Davidson defense bolt, Promag colt style adapter using ASC 32 round mags with a Bear creek arsenal barrel and a cheap Ebay 7 inch free float hand guard. Also have a 5.5 once buffer with an extra power buffer spring. It cost me about $475 with a cheap red/greendot. Accuracy is good out to about 60 yards using cheap remaned ammo. I am sure with better ammo it will more accurate up to 100 yards. Only problem so far is the one mag does not feed correctly some times, The other three mags work great.
200 at it runs here
You don't have the right buffer. Buy a new 9mm buffer and you don't have that issue.
Great video and nice build. For anyone that may be thinking about using a mag block, take a look at Midway's AR Stoner mag block. $100 and all aluminum, going to give it a go in my build since I've got quite a few AR lowers already.
did anyone see or was the parts list shared?
cool video and build
Is it full semi? Nice bumpstock bro
I want one of those bad
Just finished a 4.5" barreled pistol 308/9 mm spring, spacer, Kak 5.2 buffer, Ghost mag block. Will run flawlessly on Asc Mags. Awesome function and fun weapon. Metalform are crap. Would not function or even hold the ammo sent it back for a refund.
Why don't you just reverse the front sight so it folds forward instead?
Has your pro mag adapter held up
Can you shoot JHP ammo on your Ar9mm ? I can't shoot with mine the ammo alway jaming in the chamber and the bullet is damage maybe because of the Hollow point? I don't know, full metal jacket are fine but JHP alway jaming I can't even shoot one round, it's because of my lower or I don't know help!! Im using spike 9mm glock lower
This AR9 is a bad mother. http://tactical-toolbox.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0bd4e4e9aa4c385e344ceb232&id=3caad7969f&e=d9ac726f70
Thank you for your videos ! I'm looking forward to build my own ,could you please list all the parts that you used, thanks
I didn't follow the build but I did watch the series. I build my first AR15 with some help from your first series. I really wanted to get another build going, maybe something from an 80. I amseriously thinking of 9mm but maybe a 9mm dedicated lower. I didn't not like the mag block. I think that is the weak point will definitely go out by switching mags especially bc I think all guns are potentially go-to-war guns. Looking forward to the next build.
you NEED a much heavier buffer
I watched all the videos on this gun. Great build! Thanks for all the useful info. I am going to build a 9mm ar for PCC competition. Tying to get all the info I can
Great build and video. The carbine buffer and quarters were seriously mashed up. I heard dropping in an AR10 (308 cal) buffer spring can also help with the recoil and reduce excessive wear.
Im thinking about getting the promag magwell block. would you say it works pretty good for the price.
Nice job for $600… I'm with you on getting a dedicated lower other than a
mag insert you stick in the mag well. I know a few people who at first had the drop in mag inserts for their 9mm, 45cal and one guy who did a 10mm build and they swapped those expensive cheaply made inserts for dedicated 9mm lowers. In some cases the dedicated lower cost less than the mag well insert.
Keep up the good work!! Do have you any plans to build any big bore rifles? 308, 45 VRAP or 45 Raptor, maybe even a 50 cal Baeuwolf. I got a 50 Baeuwolf upper for Christmas from my girls and still haven't fired it because I don't know if any of the lowers I own buffers will handle the massive recoil of the 50 Beowulf. I love big bore ARs and since I reload, it keeps down the price of going to the range to shoot once or twice a week.
I was told to look for a thicker spring and heavier which will tame recoil, this along with the monster muzzle break Alexander Arms sent shouldn't have to worry about the BCG smashing up the insides of my rifle because of the recoil of the buffer
And I think you just gave me the answer in this video to solve this problem in this video, Although, I'm a little worried about the length of the buffer, Thanks
So, did the KAK buffer cost more or less than $1.50?
pro mag stands for problem mag haha
keep up this great content
