  1. Can’t trust anything o-light with all the shills they’ve recruited from the YouTube sphere. Can’t tell if it’s trash or not because everyone seems to be on their payroll. Basically counted it out from the start.

  2. I have tried a few Olights and all of them have failed me in stronger recoiling guns such as a .40, .357 SIG, and 12 gauge. It was even acting funny on the AR. It lasts a few rounds and then will refuse to turn on for a while. I am throwing mine in the trash and will get a stream light when I have the cash. Just a fair warning.

  3. For what it's worth YM, the streamlight toggles CAN do both on either side (at least the TLR1HL). On the left side it's down for temp and up for stay-on. On the right hand side it's the opposite. Works great on my hk45 only wish I got the black. Thought I'd enjoy the contrast of the OD green but… meh. Whatever. I find the hk45 too big for edc so if you see it , you're either me, my wife or about to take your last breath.

  4. I love my Valkyrie PL2 but unfortunately my fingers are too stubby to use them effectively on my pistols. 🙁 It works WONDERS on an AR pistol mounted at 12 o'clock, though! Ambi controls, high output, and rugged.

I like the TLR-1 activation method (toggles) better but I dislike how they're not mirrored on both sides–I wish it was push down for momentary and up for constant on both sides.

  5. I have a PL-MINI on my CZ P-01 as well. It looks like it was made for it.
One of the things I really love about Olight (aside from having great products at great prices) is the fact that they listen to what people want. They are meeting all their customers needs, and they're doing it at better prices than everyone else. I'm a big fan.

  6. The Streamlight is ambidextrous though. You can do momentary on or constant on with both sides.

On the left side you push the toggle switch up for constant on, and down for momentary on. The right side is the reverse: up for momentary on, down for constant on. The toggle switch kinda operates like a see-saw.

  7. I have the stream light and the olight. I also like the olight better and have it on my nightstand gun also. Like the ability to quickly change the olight to another firearm. the streamlight is mounted on a tactical shotgun and works okay but is no longer my first choice. .good review thanks for posting.

  8. Way to go Yankee Marshall. No cussin’, no swearin’, and no filth. A nice review. I was wondering about these lights and now I know. I appreciate it and I enjoyed the review. Thanks.

  9. I recall you saying 45 ACP was the worst self-defense round – what changed . Can't find you video explaining you change to 45 other than your arthritis prevents you from shooting 357 comfortably in a carry gun.

  10. Why is Streamlight the only company I buy from now? I once bought a fake light on eBay and it broke. Sent it in they called me told me “We sent you a new light but the one you sent use broke because it was fake, if you could tell us what vendor sold it to you that’d be great. Thanks for picking our brand it means a lot.”

Dude I will never buy from any other brands Customer Service is a diein Art!

We have SureFire in the Army they die a lot. But then again Lowest Bidder…

FNX Tactical .45 Streamlight TLR 1 HL and SilencerCo Osprey 45. My setup.

  11. I've had nothing but great results from my surefire lights, I have quite a few. Are they cheap? No! They have AMAZING customer service!!! I've needed it twice in 15-16 years and they had a new part or a brand new light in a couple of days.

  12. I have the pl mini in fde, I like it alot, super bright but battery life is small but it is a carry light. Just kinda sucks if you want to train with it. I'll have to check out the full size

  13. One of the best things I like about the Olight PL2 is I didn't have to buy new duty holster(s). I haven't tried the mini yet as it should be here in the next few days, however the PL2 will fit in the Safariland duty holsters. I post this on Black on Friday 2018 and Olight has sales on the mini as well as a bunch of other lights until 11 pm EST today….

  14. I put a Streamlight TLR-2S on my 9mm XDM. Within 6 months the laser stopped working. A few months after that the strobe function stopped working. Now the flashlight does not work at all, but I don't know when it finally died since I stopped using it. It maybe survived long enough for me to change the batteries 3 times. I loved the functionality of it, but I will never buy a Streamlight product again.

  15. I like small AA-cell flashlights to keep in my pocket for EDC. I have tried lots of them, and both my Fenix and Olight are the best of the bunch. Build quality on both is excellent.
