I owned a streamlight protac 2L back in 2014 and it was wonderful, I never had any issues. I purchased the 2L-X late last year (I love being able to recharge batteries) and unfortunately I've had to send it back to streamlight two separate times now for the same issue. That issue being, the ON/OFF button failed and the light would not turn on, or would turn on maybe once out of every ten clicks. I just got it back a few days ago, it appears to be working properly now and I hope I don't have any more issues. I purchased a second one for my Dad last year before I started having problems with mine, he uses his every day and has had no problems. The customer service is good however I've spent about $13 total in shipping costs so far.
Great light, but wayyyyyy too big for me for EDC.
