224 VK is great in 18 inch barrels too. I saw that LaRue was working on an 11 ish inch 224 VK integrally suppressed upper that looks neat also. Since it's based on the 6.8 SPC II it shouldn't have any issues out of short barrels, but I have yet to see any numbers.
