  1. Really like the video and well done. One thing I would say though, is that you have seem to go cheap with the red dot; and more expensive with the magnifier. I think this is why you have the smear that you have. I am running the Vortex Spitfire 2 as my red dot. Then I have the utg 3 x magnifier which is only $89 for the magnifier and $200 for the red dot. I don't have any smear on the reticle whatsoever and it shoots excellent, and accurate. I would suggest going with a more expensive red dot, and try to save money on the magnifier in my personal opinion.

  2. Bushnell Red Dot is pretty solid as far as keeping a zero, but it is not bright enough for sunny day shooting.

I don't know how anybody is able to use it on anything other than cloudy days or the evening.

  3. Looks very similar to me just comes down to preference. I personally run a 1-4x mostly because it was the cheaper option and it doesnt have to have batteries it only loses illumination.

  4. Great vid! I've subbed. I have an astigmatism and going back and foryh between a red dot and 1×4 has been driving me crazy. I have red dots, and i didn't want to give up any of the close range capabilities of it if i bought a 1×4 or 1×6. This vid helped a lot.

  5. I have Vortex 3x with Aimpoint T-2. Some personal experience. Dot gets smeared, if adjustment on the magnifier is not enough to compensate difference in alignment. I had the same issue with Comp M2, but not with T-2. Also, if magnifiers flips to the right, ejection port will splash the lens with plenty of oil and residue. Eventually, it starts to affect image. Cleaning oil covered lens on the range is not ideal situation to be in. Therefore I chose to flip it to the left, which is also faster to do for me.

  6. The magnifier over your left eye is used in close quarters to identify what you're looking at while your right eye is aiming and ready to shoot if needed. Mostly used when entering buildings and entering rooms. Did your target just pull out a knife or was that a key? Identify with left eye shoot with right eye. Since civilians are very unlikely to need a magnifier for this kind of application, it may seem retarded but from an LE perspective, it is exactly what they need and that is exactly why Vortex ships it that way.

  7. The trijicon 1-4 is worlds above glass wise and they are notoriously strong and durable. I run a segmented circle trijicon 1-4 on one AR15 and an eotech exps3 hhd. I find myself usually gravitating toward the gun with the 1-4.
