  1. I chose the P238 over the P938 for an objectively stupid reason, but a common one nonetheless. It looked better to me. the proportion of the grip length from top to bottom and front to back, to the tiny overall dimensions of the slide and barrel, made the P938 look unbalanced to me, cosmetically. Where the P238 looked almost just like a proportionally correct mini 1911, the P938 did not.

There's still the actual benefit of being able to, recently, purchase quality compatible OEM magazines for the Springfield 911, for a much cheaper price than Sig's outrageous prices, on top of being able to modify said magazines with a magguts kit to add an additional round of capacity to either the flush fit or extended mags, which appears to not be an option for the P938.

Do I still wish I had invested in a P938 instead sometimes? Yeah.

  2. I'm mad late on this video, but I'm finally turning 21 in a month SO I've been stressing over what to make my first EDC pistol. I've actually been fretting over not knowing if proper flashlights existed for these and that was the only reason I was second guessing it. So thank you very much good sir, hope you don't mind a good ol boy from nc rocking the same exact setup as you (SAS version and all) I'll be sure to come back to this video after I purchase it and let you know what I think! Once again thanks for the video!

  3. I've looked around and haven't really seen how anybody feels about the skeleton trigger over the original plastic. Does the skeleton feel "slippery" being a flat surface and does it keep from the pinch feel from fat fingers?

  4. I have the same pistol 9 38, with the same light on it TRL. Problem is I can't find a holster to carry both of them and I'm looking for an outside the waist holster. Anywhere you can direct me on the internet to find a holster for this I'd appreciate

  5. What is a realistic range for this gun? 7 yards, 10 yards ? I'm new to handguns and bought the P938. I am having difficulty finding the best way to hold my support hand. Several times the slide has come back and tore the skin off of my thumb. I was placing my support hand under the shooting hand and cupping my shooting hand and of course my thumb was in the way of the slide, so I quit that. I was trying to shoot from 15 yards and the pattern was all over the place and I'm sure it was from lack of experience. Now I am trying 7 to 9 yards and doing much bettter shooting at an eight inch target, they all hit the paper but I definitely need to get the basic fundamentals down as soon as I discover what they are. If you have any videos on that, please let me know, thanks.

  6. on another video by NutNFancy, on the P938, someone had commented that the holster requires you to twist the gun, i think they said clockwise, as you are removing from holster and then they said it works very well. I loosened the screw on mine, just a little, and now it is snug but not super tight.

  7. certainly do appreciate the video but one thing comes to mind please don't misunderstand my point I'm not trying to be sarcastic but what you did was put a loaded magazine back in the gun and started to talk and demonstrate don't ever do that it's easy to forget rack the slide and end up shooting something but again I appreciate the video

  8. I have a P938 SAS as well. Reliable, accurate, and easy on the eyes. Nice video. Enjoyed it a lot. It is my summer pocket CCW. Winter time is for a Kimber 3" Raptor in 45ACP. I benefit from the similar 1911 action and carry cocked and locked. My Kahr P380 was harder to control, and although extremely concealable, the heft of an all-metal design with an upgrade to 9mm gives me added reliable confidence. Again, thanks for your video.

  9. you sir know nothing. hands down. you've gotta learn more about fire arms before downing them. for instance? the holster is downright amazing! simply have to adjust it i suppose. because mine, i actually use it as my ccw holster, keeps it high to fit under your shirt, no wobble whatsoever. but there is a adjustment screw located on the side to correct that.

  10. I bought this same model about 6 weeks ago but mine came with a stock extended magazine which allows an extra round and full 3 fingered grip. Mine doesn't have the skeletonized trigger but not an issue for me. Also, I must have gotten a defective pistol as I have yet to suffer any cycling, FTF, FTE or return to battery problems; and the little paddle holster which came stock fits well and holds my gun nice and tight without any extraneous movement.

  11. The threads in the frame for the grip screws, are terrible! Be careful. They will pop at about 2lb of pressure. Other than that, it's a great gun! I really love the .22lr.

  12. I normally don't like anything with the word Yankee in it! But I like you. Great review, lots of sense. You got a new subscriber. I love my 938. Its only a couple weeks old but I put a quick 450 rounds through it before I started edc. 100% all around, none of the issues so many say they have.

  13. Where did you buy that trigger? Also how hard was it to install? I'm about to buy the SAS And pretty much would like an exact replica of yours. Sorry to copy but that is a awesome looking gun you have there.

  14. I have the 'extreme' that has been doing me proud. I like it. The perfect, "all year round, carry no matter what in the right caliber" pistol. I want another, but am being stubborn and holding out for a full stainless like they did with the P238, dont care about the weight, I want an all steel unit. I dunno why they are dragging their ass on it.

Great vids. Just found your channel. Keep up the good work!

  15. Have a love/hate relationship with this gun. Love the way it fits in the hand and how well it handles recoil for such a small gun. Hate that I have to send it back to sig because after firing a round and ejecting it the hammer doesn't stay back. Basically turning it into a single action only revolver. But when working it is super accurate.
