Seekins Precision Ambidextrous Ambi Safety Install & Review

Is it me or is this safety selector too wide for my receiver. The levers are no where near being flush with side of the receiver. Any body else have this problem? I will have to check it with my other ARs. Maybe spikes are more narrow receivers.But I would not think so

I just got the V7 titanium Ambi safety and it's basically the same as the one you installed except it's titanium. And the rifle it's going on is going to be one that I have set up for home defense. My question is what do you think is better for a home defense setup the 90-degree throw or the 57 degree throw?

Two changes I had to make; first, I'm left handed and set it up for me. This puts the longer lever on the right side and hits the palm, just below the index finger of a right handed person. I was able to grind down the bottom of the longer one and round it off. I then used aluminum blackening to recolor it. Now both levers are the same length and it looks pretty good.
Another thing; The detents were awfully stiff to engage and disengage, so I used a very small, round, fine gunsmith file to slightly break the edges of the detent holes. Works much better now.

I found a sweet way to do this without removing your pistol grip for anyone interested. (In case yours is loc-tited on there) Made a little video that shows a quick way I haven't seen other people do. Sweet video by the way!

I just got this safety in the mail and I can't get the short switch to come off so I can put it on the other side. Can anyone help?

Why doesn't anyone make safety that are advanced 90 degrees of the current set up. what i mean is when the lever hang down it is safe and push forward to throw it into fire. that way it is moved out of the way when you grip down to start firing instead of the lever jabbing into your finger. i'm thinking the old setup is because you want to throw the lever fuly forward to engade full auto but we don't have that feature so why not make that position as fire for the semi.

who makes the magazine catch shown in this video? looks like seekins precision work but I don't see it on their website

Like these so much ,they have become my default safety selector switch.

Just installed on the 60° side and have noticed it's very hard to move to safe/fire if I let it sit for a while.

Any ideas on why that may be? I have a POF drop-in trigger if that makes a difference.
