Hello and Welcome YouTube. Well it appears my XD’s Streamlight TLR-1 tac light took a hit of some sort. Judging from the dent, it looks like the gun rotated down and impacted, with its full weight, on the bezel. Upon discovering this tragedy, I rushed to buy a replacement. Only to come to the realization that I need to distinguish between two differently sized options. Well after a bit of digging, I found a simple way to tell which size replacement is needed. Websites list which serial numbers, but I much prefer a measurement. So I decided to upload a short video on how to find out which is which.
I’ve owned the light for a several years and it has always worked. And still does. Earning it love and trust. So as soon as I figured out the size needed, I ordered a new bezel unit. While the light still functions. Without the bezel the devices circuitry is vulnerable and the light emitted is wildly unfocused. Around $20 for a replacement bezel assembly is well worth getting my weapon light back to serviceable status.
