  1. What does he mean by “with the way the AR15 operates it’s necessary to have a forward assist”? By design it is the exact opposite. Detent on the bolt put there by Stoner as a forward assist. As well you should not be slamming on the forward assist if it won’t go into battery. It is quite literally useless/unnecessary weight.

  2. Can anyone cite support for Lucas' claim of a 26" OAL gun with a barrel length under 16" not being considered an SBR when a vertical foregrip grip is attached? I found an ATF explanation referring to the 26" OAL but the 16" barrel length is also a necessary criteria. It seems he's in error here but in more recent videos he's calling it a hand stop and it's angled so maybe he figured this out?

  3. LOL the weight of the 1913 rail is not problem, eat more steak, do more push ups. The whole DD rifle/pistol weights only 5.5 lbs anyway…. the MLOK thing is a gimmick. Buy an MLOK, doesn't dissipate heat, gets too hot to hold and then spend crazy money on a rail that requires to you spend even more money to buy a….. wait for it…… 1913 rail adapter to mount anything. Come on guys selling Geissele rail by hinting it will be used by socom… Total joke. lets see you guys put these rifles on a scale and see the weight to cost ratio. Seriously what is the weight difference between the MK18 rail and the Geissele Super Modular Rail?
Ok I will tell you from manufacturers website. The Geissele 9.5 inch rail weighs 10.6 to 11.7 oz depending which one you get… the DD MK18 RIS II 9.55 inch rail weighs 14.1 so you are saving at most 3.5 ounces. but then you put mlok adapter to attach your gear and you no longer have weight savings and its just one more thing to mess with and adjust required a tool to install and adds weight back to the rail taking from those 3.5 ounces max savings for the given rail length.

I will say the DD grip is the most comfortable grip I have used.

  4. If anyone can help with two question? I couldn’t find it online.
    1. What kind of fixed front sight is Lucas is running on his MK18 pistol?
    2. What kind of buffer spring is Mike running on his his MK18 sbr? If someone can put the link or anything to help out I would greatly appreciate it, thank you.

  5. Why co witness a red dot to iron sights on a pistol or rifle??? So when aquiring the red dot for a shot, you have to make sure the sights are lined up also???

Hey the whole point in getting a red dot is to be faster. How is lining up a red dot to iron sights faster. Might as well just use iron sights only.

I understand that the iron sights are for back up! But set the iron sights up separate. To the side or at a 45 degree angle.

The irons don’t need to get in the way of the red dot, and the red dot doesn’t need to get in the way of the irons.!! Plain and simple.

I love what you guys do, but you won’t catch me cowitnessing anything.
