Were can I get that long plunger for the bolt catch?
Great video..
Everything installed dry no grease…. smh..
So you can build them the same way? It’s just billet lowers are in general easier? And the only difference is the screws instead of roll pins
How do you go about registering? Is the lower sent to your local gunstore for a background check or is it sent to your house and you register after building it?
Great explanation, thanks!
which model billet Mega Ar Lower is this..?
dowel pins are solid. roll pins are split and hollow. Stock ARs use dowel pins not roll pins.
should I apply a bit Loctite on the screws & pins for trigger group?
Your video is going to be helpful when I set my mega lower up. I got two of these lowers for a great price today so thanks for sharing.
What multi tool is that, that has a castle nut wrench as part of it?
Nice. I like the magnet trick on the front receiver take-down pin.
thanks for the video, I've been considering this lower, but I thought it was full ambi. I see ambi safety but not mag lev or bolt release. thought?
Great video. Very simple and made my confident of building my first ar 15 much higher.. I've dealt with set screws or just screws and notice in the long run the vibration seems to turn the screw itself out. How is your ar holding now?
Absolute pleasure to watch! I was pretty scared on how I was going to build my lower, but after watching this, my fears have somewhat subsided! Thank you so much!

great video
Are billet lowers heavier then standard lower receivers?
I just bought 2 Stripped lowers. 1 was a forged receiver and the other was the Mega Arms "S" Model. IMO both receivers are top notch. However, you can see the difference in quality withe the billet receiver. IMO a billet receiver may cost more, however, the difference in quality is better. Can't go wrong with either, however, if you are going to be building another or a couple of AR's you should look into a billet receiver at some point.
Nice video. I am planning to build my 2nd AR-15 and I am going to use the Mega Arms Stripped lower…but the S model so I can us a standard Upper. I plan to use the Adam Arms Upper receiver but a higher upper receiver model than my 1st build. I plan to spend a little more as I want the next one to be a real high quality AR. Again, thanks Awesome video! I will be using the BAD ASS pivot and take down pins too
could you make a list off all the parts?
What multi tool is that? That thing looks really handy!!
Do you know what size allen wrench to use, because i have tried a couple different size small allen wrenches and none of them seemed to work.
Also I did not get the threaded set screw ??? Looks like I got JUST A LOWER lol
Witch bad ass 45* Saftey did you use on your Billet mega lower ?
I have the lower in this video and from my understanding the bad ass 45* short throw safety will not point where it should if I use the 45* ??
If I get the 90* it will ??
I'm about to order a Saftey to finish up this build and that's all I need .
THANKX
looking to do my 1st AR build. I'm looking for a lower that's good quality no Idea who is good and who is not. have my uppers down to BCM DD just need a lowers.
Excellent Video, well thought out, well presented. An HK fan myself, but have the parts for an AR and thinking about assembling them.
I've been wanting to build an AR for years, I think this is the lower I've been waiting for. I hate messing with pins!
WHAT SIZE IS THE ALLEN KEY? JESUS CHRIST. I have bought 2 sets of allen keys all the way down to 1.5 MM and 1.5 MM is too small. This is unacceptable. Why did the set not come with an allen key? Terrible.
So, how do you know that the receiver extensions is orthogonal to the receiver? is the threading and detent designed so that it aligns like that or is there fine tuning that needs to be done?
Excellent video. The magnet trick on the front take down pin is brilliant. Note to self. Beautifully shot, well lit, good focus, excellent narrative. Top marks in every regard. Thank you!
Nice! No roll pins!!
awesome video mang!!
As an AR-15 complete noob, I found this video easy to understand and follow. I know you sait to check all the prices, but surely you can give an approximate cost to build the complete lower…nobody's going to hold you to the penny. Are we talking $400ish, $300ish, $500ish? you get the point. Nice video again, and subscribed.
Great Vid and nicely detailed explanations!
I can't believe how easy this really is, you've really de-mystified the process (at least for the lower…lol).
I'm going to build my first AR shortly, so I'll be looking at more of your Vids!
Thanks!
Check out San Tan Tactical's receivers! They look awesome and are totally ambidextrous. I ordered one and am patiently awaiting it's arrival.
Awesome how to vid!!
