  1. No deadline for military/LE sales (not sure about civilian sales). I got the news late. Emailed eotech a couple weeks ago. They said just fill out a return request form and send it back. No questions asked… that is, unless they took it back for a reason I don't know about. Perhaps my serial number was flagged or something in their records??

  2. Mr.gunsandgear your videos are great very informative stuff. But my question is I bought an eotech 512 with the g33 magnifier last year and didn't know about the recall 😣. The sticker says it was made Nov 2016 you think I'm safe? It seems to run fine but I noticed a difference every time I shoot with it…it might just be me (trying to stay optimist lol) hope to hear back from you.

  3. I'm so glad eotech sent me a notification………….NOT!!! I just saw this video and it's the first I've heard about a lawsuit / return for a refund, 6 F****g months after a deadline (that's directed at Eotech). Thanks for putting the vid out, wish I'd seen it before. Time to start a 'wrassel'n' match with Eotech.

  4. Anyone send theirs in near the deadline and get their refund back? I sent mine a day before and still haven't gotten it. I'm hoping it's just because they got a ton sent in last minute.

  5. How about a YouTube keymod vs mlok torture test video I've beat the living crap out of both systems, real world use as well as I'm talking hammers to vert grips, slamming on rocks putting it in a vise and pulling on it with a hook and scale On the grips and nothing haha I have the the original mag/alum blend bcm kmr and a Midwest mlok and have yet to have a failure or each maybe you can lol I just don't buy the recent tests I think it has more to do with cost and ease of manufacture then strength. Thanks again for all your hard work and awesome vids man

  6. Crap! This is the first I'm hearing about this. I have a couple of EOTech sights I bought around 2003 that I really never use. Wouldn't mind getting a refund. Unfortunately….I'm a good 3 hours away from their location at this moment — no way I could get there, get their serial numbers entered, and get a 5/23 post mark on them now….

Oh well….they'll go on my "end of the world," "extra guns for friends to use" guns, LOL. It bad things really happen in the world I'm going to have a FLOOD of people coming to me — knowing how much guns and ammo I have, lol.

  7. Here's what I've learned. Previously eotech itself was offering refunds with a turn around of about 2 months. Currently, this process is part of settlement. I was able to submit an electronic claim form today 5/23. I wasn't clear on parameters on sending in optic so I called the phone number provided in my claim confirmation. I talked to an individual who confirmed the optic must be sent in "they'd like it to be mailed by today" and the refund may take a year or longer. You read that right "a year or longer." I don't have the funds to replace this and hope to eventually be reimbursed. BS if you ask me

  8. My EXPS3-0 has been great. Purchased in 2015 with a Eotech inspection date in 2015. Have it on my Tavor and I love it. Now in saying that I have not purchased another Eotech product since the news broke. I more than likely would've purchased more Eotech's if they would not have had this issue. I have purchased 2 PA advanced micro dots, 1 Romeo 4b and 1 MRO since my initial EXPS3-0.

  9. Home defense options: shortest barrel possible and cheap dedicated suppressor. Think rebel suppressor or the like. Subsonic ammo, if possible. Preferably Lehigh Defense pills. Red dot, weapons light and done

  10. First, thank you for the reminder!!! I read about the issue but didn't know about the recall until watching your vid today, 5/22/17, 1 day before deadline. I'm confused on the procedure.
The stupid website to efile is "under going maintenance" so I can't seem to submit claim that way. A few comments I've found on YouTube or google searches mostly seem to be from a year ago saying they sent there optic in and got a refund in about 2 months….that outcome would be acceptible to me. However in the claim forms I am reading today there is a disclaimer that the refund will not be issued until the lawsuit is settled, which could be a year or more.
I'm worried about sending this in and not getting any cash back for a year or two. Can I submit a claim but wait to send in optic until I am notified my claim is approved? I read that somewhere……or do I have to send in optic and claim for and hope for the best?
Anyone with any recent knowledge about this process would be super helpful!!!

  11. Some fine expensive optics available today for sure but with the rate of technology I'm disappointed the optics market seems to be dragging behind trying to sell 3-5 year old stock at original prices.Nobody would pay $600 for 5 yr old tech in a cell phone but optics companys cant unload their old stock at real discount prices and usher in the new tech fast enough.Just my observation, and I'm still pissed at optics planet for selling me that steiner "DEMO" that doesnt exist.HA!

  12. Light mounting options. RS Regulate's BM-1 is a great option that people seem to over look in favor of the ultimak setup. Which in all fairness is fine. But I took the BM-1 through Rifleman 1 and 2 at Valor Ridge no issues… other than not loctiteing the vltor flashlight mount.

  13. Good reminder. I shipped mine with in the first month of the offer. I got a check in ?? 4 to 6 weeks but they did pay me. I did mine because battery's would die with out use and the contact springs would rust.

  14. rs regulate mouts any upper mt per optic choics re regulare clamp on light mt with stream light on a arsenal sgl 21 thats what mine is set up simple and fast effective great videos thanks
