you're shooting rifled slugs from a rifled barrel shotgun?…that's not preferred, because you'll have a ton of lead in there…rifled slugs go down smoothbore barrels…only sabot slugs should be going down that bore…Nice gun, I hope to get a 212 soon…I use to have a 395 chopped to 20", but the bolt gave up the ghost…and parts are extremely hard to find

If you have the gun tight into your shoulder it won't hurt as bad. Imagine someone pushing on you vs punching you with the same force.
