The Stylus Pro was my very first EDC light. I quickly moved on to bigger and brighter things. The Stylus Pro became obsolete compared to the new lights I bought.
Streamlight improved the Stylus Pro and it’s now 200% (if not more) brighter than the previous versions. This now makes the SP one of my favorite little EDC lights once again. Along with the boost in output, they made a couple of changes to the light itself which make it more functional.
This new version makes one heck of a EDC light for under 30 dollars.
I greatly appreciate any amount of Paypal donations, and as always please do not feel obligated to do so:

90 lumens now!
i just got into 10440 li ion batteries and ive always wanted a stylus pro. i love the size, single mode and clicky. the 10440 made my microstream probably jump up to the 200-300 lumen range. im going to try to run a 10440 and a dummy cell in the stylus pro. i will lose runtime, but im hoping it jumps the brightness up a bunch like it did with the microstream
Now they are 65 lumen..
Good review! I am wanting a surefire but at $150 its just not an option in the near future, this little light looks very useful at nice price
For EDC, I prefer a light that has more spill like the Preon. So depending on who you are, that extra spill can be a good thing.
Hey jdavis, is the boot a little hard to click? It seems a lot harder to click that just the clicker alone.
Thanks!
heinnie .com sells them, UK based webshop for EDC stuff
Those knives look awesome, I can make some of them out- quality stuff.
the newer light that you recommend, is it a 66118 or 66318?
wow thanks i almost picked up an old model without knowing!
Cool vid J, show us your lights!
i stand corrected.
thx for the heads up. im currently looking to upgrade my edc light. klarus p1c or p1a. or the fenix pd20 or pd30. ive just been rocking a 30lumen single aa light.
Look at GoingGear. We ship internationally, although we don't carry Streamlight. 🙂
I definitely will, thanks for the kind words!
You can get Quarks for MUCH less than 60 dollars.
Nah I got this one in Destin. I had no clue we had a bass pro up here!
please do more flashlight review in the future! great job! i love your channel!
If Streamlight are watching; why can't we find this product easily in Europe? All US eBay and Amazon sellers have hilarious $35 shipping charges on this product and have done for years. All this free international YouTube advertising is being wasted if I can't buy one.
@newcoyote I have one, it's an awesome light.
You gotta get a TK35. I can light up Mount Rainier from Vancouver.
SUREFIRE! they just need yo get into the pen light market
I almost bought one of these the other day and threw it back but I think I'll go get one now! For $25 it's pretty good!
Did u buy 12 of them ..lol..good look out man ..thanks
I like this little light. My olight t15 is a little to choad for me at times. May pick this up. Thanks John. Yes I said choad.
thanks for sharing!
I looks like they have done a majoe re-design on the reflector, making it throw better.
The Preon 2 reflector is rather shallow, which will make it more floody.
yeah if $60 is modest
I still like the Preon better.
Is the model number the same as the old one?
I also have to say really lol? While a few lights in the streamlight series are fantastic none really are totally waterproof or have as many modes as the Fenix or 4Sevens lights. Actually I think streamlight has a light now that is really similar to the 2aa lights such as a Fenix e21 but I'm betting the price is about the same if not more. Something like a Fenix E21 neutral tint can be had for under 40 bucks.
@chrishornsby13 Really? The Quark series brings stupid high output for the modest price.
OOhh…. it looks like they are using a slightly warmer tint led too — Me Gusta…
Hmm…. I can't seem to find it as the "new" version online from a quick search of amazon and the streamlight site! I hope it is sold more online soon.
Wait… I don't have time right now to watch the vid but they came out with a newer version? Upgraded led? I'll have to check it out for sure. I have the 1aaa version of the stylus pro but always wanted the 2aaa version too.
i prefer streamlight. 4sevens are overpriced for what they are lights……
