What optic were you using?
that would be a great gun to run a 16'' barrel, compensator, and iron sights with. Especially if you live in a rural area for defense against bears and large game, and people but I wouldnt want to go searching for the limbs of the robber after shooting em with this.

Jeezus… people putting their thumbs around the top of the forestock! When did this silly trend start? On a gas piston weapon, they'd be wrapping their thumb around a hot gas regular…and placing their wrist and thumb in front of the blade sights.
And that's just for starters.

Love your videos. Recently acquired a .458socom rifle using Black Butterfly 350gr. First round on my buddy's 12" ar-500 gong broke the steel chain hanging bracket right off the steel frame…incredible impact…lol….this gong had previously been battered by hundreds of .308 rounds but 1, .458socom took it down. Finding rounds now through Big Bore for about $1.25 a round
Im in the middle of building one of these right now, I cant wait to finally get it out to the range and in the field.
Would anyone here recommend this version of the AR-15 to shoot a 200-300 lb bear? If no, why not?
But, we already have foster slugs and 12ga pumps…some with detachable mags, and 250 yrd effectiveness, see hickok45 and the accuracy possible with a smooth bore 12ga, (but this 458 is still so awesome)
You right this would be a awesome round for home defense, kinda what a .45 is to a 9mm.

Seems like a rifled 12 gauge with sabots would give you the same results for much less money but what a cool thing to have and I really like that setup especially the ported barrel and 45° offset buis👍!
