Everyone asks where I find AR-15 stuff in stock or where I order from, so here you are:

I have gotten quite a few questions and comments on my AR-15 build pertaining to what parts I chose, why I chose them, and also how much everything cost. I am happy to share all of this information in this video.

As I explain, you can always be cheap, and also build cheaper AR-15’s than mine that still function as they should, but I wanted mine to look nice as well as function well. Some times it costs a little more for aesthetics.

  1. Maybe I have looked over it in the vid, but what is the part/switch between the fire selector and the mag catch just above the trigger?
I do not mean the bolt release thingy.. but the thing on the right side of it…
EDIT: The part you touch at 2:12

Found it at the end of the video, Anti rotating pins…

  2. A piece that I've used before and that I'm gonna buy again and again is the BCM KMR hand guard. Not to be specific in a certain length but the quality is spectacular and not only is it beautiful but it's extremely easy to install and it runs great!

  3. I just want to thank you for helping me build my AR-15. This is my first build so I am breaking my virginity on building from (Mostly) scratch. I have researched and found out there are a plethora of companies where you can purchase parts. I basically went with a Spike's Tactical Stripped receiver with the Jolly Roger emblems, Daniel Defense Lower kit and furniture kit. Rather than build my upper from scratch (will build from scratch in the future is I do well with this one) is a ordered a fully assembled upper from Adam Arms. But seeing your videos has made me confident to building my own from scratch. Not only will it be Bad Ass for me it will be better than any store bought AR. I have many other parts I can name but do not want to bore you. Again, thank you for so much help!!

  4. Good video! I'll probably watch it a few more times to get all the information intact. Though I won't be building one, i want to buy one when I have saved enough money for it. I want to be Ready for the syrian refugee… invasion. If they want to harm me, my children, my grandchildren, or great grand children, or my America I can give them lead to eat for their Last meal.

  5. Just found your channel today and this was a great help thanks for sharing! Just looking into doing my own build soon. Looking more for a basic carbine length rifle for range of less than 150 yards so my needs aren't too crazy. Definitely some cool stuff in here that I haven't even thought about yet.

  6. I'm doing my first AR build and liked how you presented the products used for yours. My build is mostly function over looks because of my budget however I will upgrade things as I go along. I'm still up in the air about optics but have several that I'm looking at. Thanks for doing this video as it has given me a few ideas for my build.

  7. That gun is bad ass. I watched multiple videos to see which one to use while building my AR lower. I finally chose your tutorial because it was the best one, so thanks for that.

For my build I found a new Daniel Defense CHF 14.5 middie, Troy Battle Stock, Troy pistol grip VLTOR low pro gas block with a gas tube and YHM flash hider. I got that whole package for 290 bucks on Armslist . I got a forged Trading Place Pawn lower on Armslist for $125.00. Then I ordered online a complete VLTOR upper with forward assist. for $170.00 on sale. I bought the same lower parts kit as you except it did not come with a trigger or hammer or trigger guard or pistol grip for like $30.00. I got an ALG ACT trigger for around $60.00, Magpul Trigger guard for $10.00, "13" UTG Pro free Float that looks sort of like yours for $150.00, Nickel boron BCG No idea what brand, gun show $170.00 with tax. Tapco buffer and tube which I hate, Cheaper than Dirt gave false advertising and said it was 7075 aluminum and it's not, it's 6061, and it's coming off when I get the money for a VLTOR like yours. Cheap aluminum sights which I modded so they don't wobble. Going to buy a used Aimpoint and Ceracote it when I do the gun. So not as nice as yours but still pretty fucking awesome and way better than average. I will eventually upgrade some of the cheaper parts down the road and devote the leftover stuff for a cheap build. The cheaper part that surprised me for being decent quality was the UTG PRO free float rail. UTG makes some cheap stuff but their PRO line is pretty good American made stuff. The ALG stuff is also good and priced reasonable. It's owned by Bill Geissele's wife. He's the guy that makes the great triggers. The ALG triggers are tuned by Geissele techs. Very good for the price.
