Set speed to 0.75 and take notes, for real.
On the issue of the spring length, what if you just have the firing pin go through the spring? The amount of travel of the extractor is so little that it shouldn't cause any trouble, right?
Fail Zero? I was hoping to see that one make the list.
So why is that Gemtech not made for suppressed rounds ? I have a integrally suppressed 300 blk and was thinking about putting that Gemtech in leaving it on suppressed to help with blow back.
I built a 16'' carbine with a mid length gas system from noveske and bcm parts and the gun runs great, the bcm lower came with an H buffer but I noticed that my ejection pattern is about 2 o' clock unsupressed…when I suppress it obviously the ejection goes almost straight forward and I was wondering if there was a reason to mess with my buffer…I've already considered getting a suppressed bolt carrier group from gemtech to help bleed off that extra pressure when suppressed, but was wondering if maybe getting a heavier buffer could solve my apparent ejection issues…I don't fire full auto but the gun was built as a defensive rifle and not as a hobby gun….I don't want to sacrifice my reliability but I don't want to beat my parts to death either…what would you recommend? Also South Texas heat is my environmental factor….
I've got an Adams Arms one piece bolt carrier in one of my rifles. It works as well as any other I have used, that is to say I have never had any issues with it. It has a very nice finish which makes it easy to clean. Do gas keys experience wear that requires them to be replaced over time? If so, it would suck to have to replace the entire bolt carrier on account of the gas key. In any case, I look forward to your review. Thanks for what you do!
You left us and returned… thank God I found you again… maybe I missed it, which one do you recommend?
what are your thoughts on the new bolt carrier from sure fire that was designed by the the original ar-15 engineer . it also has a modified cam
Very instructive video. I have two questions for you, Mr. Bartocci:
-Is it possible to use the LMT enhanced bolt head (With an standard mil-spec bolt) in a 16 or 20 inch barrel ar15 without causing light strikes in full auto?
-Is it possible to combine the LMT enhanced bolt head with the POF roller cam pin upgrade kit?
Now I’m wondering if I should throw in a LMT BCG in my block 2 instead of a colt bcg.
Great video! Helpful, I don't think most know this depth on their current bolt carrier group!
This was posted a few weeks ago but I have question.
What do people think of Toolcraft BCG.
Thank you for the excellent education. Glad to see that you're back on YouTube.
WOW, only 4700ish views.. great vid. Everybody needs to watch this video.
WAIT WHAT?
I always run BCM.
Thanks for sharing all of this info.
Great video. I think this will help get some of your original subscriber back. Looks like they are finding you again, they wouldn't have missed you if they would have been on Patreon….. hint, hint, lol.

You are showing true class for giving full credit for the products of un-cooperative companies
The Teflon is nice. Cleans up easy, doesn’t stain.
I actually have 2 of LWRCs enhanced lobster tail bolts. Basically the LMT bolt with a different coating.
Great to see you on youtube again Chris. Just found your new channel. Halaluya
LMT for the win.
I'm surprised you didnt get one from Knights.
I’ve put 23,500 rounds through my DD; is it time for a new BCG?
Great info!
I really appreciated the video! I’m really looking forward to the ar10 one as I am collecting parts for an aero build. Is there any way you could put one of the, say, LMT or KAC bolts next to a regular-ish ar10 carrier group say from dpms, faxon, etc to really highlight the differences between enhanced and normal? Thanks
My bro gas been trying to break the E3 bolt for years. He can't do it either.
So LMT enhanced is a MUST for a carbine length gas system. Gemtech for suppressed.
Would you recommend a 158 or 9310? It seems the 9310 is generally used in more budget end bcg’s from what I’ve seen, and generally speaking, you get what you pay for.
