  1. I guess the Law Tactical folding stock adapter "could be" mechanically possible, but I sure wouldn't try it on a 9mm build. You stand a good chance of reducing the reliability of the firearm. I had one on an AR 23 pistol. I took it off because it got in the way, and the benefits didn't justify its existence on my weapon. If you need to fold down a "rifle" for storage, I can see it… I guess. There's just no reason to put one on an AR pistol.

  2. So I purchased an Armaspec silent capture buffer and on their page it tells you to remove the weight in the back of Spike's BCG. Did you ever come across anyone who had good instruction on how to remove that weight? If so would you send the link to me or put it in your comments. Thank you and the build looks awesome, I've always used Spike's as well, great quality AR brand.

  3. Removing the weight off the back of the bolt carrier is not a good idea you should consider getting a SB Tactical PDW Stock it would be about the same price if you consider the folder and blade combo. By removing the weight you and adding spring sounds good but the BCG is designed to run at a particular mass lever by taking the mass off and increasing spring rate you are increasing the speed of the BCG that can snap off the bolt catch and create other issues.

  4. I've gathered from all the research that I've done, that Spike's Tactical does indeed make great quality products!

However, until they get rid of that arachnid logo, I won't be buying anything from them!

    No, I'm not kidding.

    Yes, I am arachnophobic.

    Lastly, Praying Mantises rule!

  5. Looking forward to see where you wind up going with this thing. Enjoyed following your SE Traders pistol build progress. My buddy always suggests CMC triggers. One of these days I might follow that advice. His 9mm build works well with an 8oz buffer and the red sprinco. I myself am considering building my own 9mm upper to pair with my recently built pistol lower. Good luck with yours.

  6. I built a Spike’s 9mm AR using the colt pattern lower and a Spike’s 9mm upper. It has a 8.5” Faxon barrel and a CMMG bolt with the same buffer you have. I used a 308 buffer spring. Works perfectly.

Building an all Spike’s colt pattern 9mm this week because I like the 9mm AR’s.

  7. Gear head works tail hook for the “arm brace”
Spingco buffer springs from Austin Tx
I️ know some triggers will break under 9mm blow back Colt had a problem with that in there early 9mm ARs

  8. A super compact 9mm carbine would be super cool, no doubt! Seems a little pricey right now though. But that's the way it goes with the latest and greatest kit. On a different note, I just read a notice on Vidme. Seems they are shutting down December 15 ! Now what?
