  1. Couple of nit-picky things if I may, you said it has a zero stop turret – it does not – it has a zero reset but not a zero stop.

You said the tube diameter gives a larger exit pupil – it doesn't. It's the 28 mm objective that increases the exit pupil over the more common 24 mm objective.

I bought one of these scopes – the turret could NOT be reset to zero. I called Trijicon tech support and they told me this was a design problem that got out undetected, he also said they have no fix for it as of this date – 2018-02-01.

There's a video on YT describing and illustrating this problem – just a heads up.

At this point I've about decided to return the scope. The only other scope that I like in the 1-8x range is the Bushnell Elite Tactical 1-8.5x 24 mm. Unfortunately, there's that smaller objective that reduces the exit pupil diameter.

  2. Wish they made It take a single double a battery like the vcog..I like the external turrets and the higher magnification but the vcog taking a single common battery sealed the deal for me you can find those anywhere and it lasts 500 hrs on a lithium ion

  3. After considering my needs over almost a year, this optic might be int eh running for me. I really given a lot of thought about which focal plane is more suitable for what I'm looking for. And there's really only a couple of optics that fits, this one and the VUDU. I'm leaning more towards this one right now…

  4. I just put this scope on my Ruger 762, using a Larue 104 mount. Cant wait to get it on the range. This video sold me on this unit, answered all my questions. I got online with coupons for little under 1100 with shipping.

  5. I like most of the features, but… I wish they could have given them to a new VCOG option. This would be an even more appealing option with the more robust body, and AA power source of the VCOG. Other than that, I like it, and It looks good, but I'm just not a fan of those coin-type batteries.

  6. Liked everything about it until the Reticle showed up. It's a 1-8x, no need for open turrets and MOA adjustments with DOPE. I'm happy with my Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x that has the AR-BDC2 reticle that looks clean and simple, while spending $1,000 less.

  7. sooooo, this or a vcog, price not being an obstacle.

I like the price of this new accupower, but will the extra $2k give me that much more durability? the saying goes; spend once, cry once. I would be using it on my LWRC SPR with 77 grain Black Hills 5.56. I'm already running an Eotech with a magnifier, but when I handled the VCOG on a rifle I immediately fell in love.

From an economical standpoint the accupower makes more sense. More magnification, better features on adjustments, and still less expensive even having to buy rings. But im willing to spend the extra money on the VCOG if it is worth the extra $2k on durability.

  8. Just got this scope, Mil with red illumination. Put it in a Spuhr 3016, and ran into a slight issue with using the leveling wedge. That protrusion, or nub (maybe a purge valve), under the scope is in line with the leveling cutout.
Great clarity and reticle. I still don't think it's a true 1X, cause my front sight is blurred and very large in the scope. My Aimpoint pro doesn't enlarge the front sight. Just saying,

  9. Oooh… Was super excited till you said $1300. The average joe doesn't have $1,300 to drop on a 1-8 power scope. If it were $500-$600 cheaper I'd go online and try to order one right now.. I like trijicon, but Jesus. Trijicon, if you see this comment, calm the fuck down, alright?
