these are fantastic scopes, I use them with great effect on a .22 rimfire
Your gun would shoot a lot better with low rings. It does not make a lot of sense to buy a 32mm scope to put it on high rings. A set of low weaver quad lock rings would serve you much better. You are awful close if you can see where you hit the target with your rifle scope. Spotting scopes are what you use to see where you hit the target. You did prove that the Nikon scope is tough. No matter how bad you screw up the installation it still works.
You're caps are switched that is why it does not fit perfect 🙂
I'd install on anything smaller than a .243 due to shock. Have seen loads on AR/M4 as well and many 10/22's with NO problems holding zero. Seen as low as $79. With your cap issue Nikon would warranty that issue no Questions asked. Nikon is my personal preferred go-to scope have many up/dwn their line up. Super brite and great value!
Turret caps. The one with the emblem on it usually goes on the windage. Try swopping over. Great vid! Thanks.

Poor fit of the turret cap could be a cross threading issue. Read that The caps on this mod
