well done. thanks for the information.
Never had an issue with 338 lapua or mag rifles. Never thought of using a recoil sled for smaller calibers. I'll have to try it with the ak-74 and the AR 15 just for fun.
Wow this is good to know..I was thinking about buying one today for zeroing rifles but now I'm not sure I really need one
I know that shotguns slugs are effected off a bench rest, best to Zero those slug Guns in the sitting position or steady them on the side of a tree, especially semi autos, just not a bench rest.
Hate to be that guy but I believe operator error is playing a part in this your groups with a bipod are within an inch ish how from a support with no sway are your impacts varying more than 1 moa and bigger than your semi supported shots I could see there being an issue with overall sight picture if it was the same grouping but an inch lower however the groups have now spread out. My guess is that the sled itself was not level and that is was digging which would explain a radical drop
In elevation not windage
Do you have an opinion as to why this happens? Mag slap with recoil? Seems like sight picture (my initial thought), but with continual drop, I'm wondering if it is something else. Thanks! Corey
