my tlr3 broke on the rail of my ar after like 400 rounds
hello. is the thumb screw bolt the same size on the tlr1 and tlr3? I need to replace the one on my long gun kit tlr1 that has a huge thumb nut not the standard low pro one. it doesn't fit in holsters because the thumb nut is wider than the battery tube as of right now.
It's ridiculous that they leave half of the rail polymer. It ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH. why not become that company that splurges and makes the rail all aluminum?? How much more can that little piece of metal cost?
i cant see spending $100 or more for a flashlight that you will probably never use and which doesn't really offer anything to justify the extra cost. I appreciate the review though.
the amount of ummms and ahhs makes this pretty difficult to watch. good effort though
Did that tlr3 come with a completely black matte bulb casing? All of the ones I see online have that silver o ring which I don't like…but yours looks 100% better being totally blacked out
I've had the TLR-3 for 3 years. On/off the firearm all the time with no issues.
I don't get it maybe you can enlighten me on why the serial number has to be covered up, what's the big deal…unless of course it stolen or something. lol
i run a tlr1 on my mossberg 😀
u have to get a tlr3 holster bravo makes one
Well that sounds dumb.
Won't be buying a Polymer Streamlight!
LUMENS????????????
I just buy the TLR-1s and it look like shit on my HK P2000 with 1913 Picatinny key…for some reasson this key fit but not perfect…it will tilt your ligt down a bit…I don't like it I will retorned ASAP. ;-((
Thanks!
id say its for compact model guns. the trl-3 is short and if you have a compact pistol you wouldnt want a longer model like a trl-1 or 2 on a short pistol.
the only bad is that big screw in them!
It was just an observational assumption, I mean why put a plastic object on a metal object? Just curious, what did you put the tlr-3 on when it broke? Was the rail you used it on made of polymer or metal?
I've never heard that before.
Sounds good man.
You are welcome man.
It sounds like the tlr-3 is meant for polymer pistols because of the fact that the tlr-3 is made of polymer opposed to metal. Did you try and put the tlr-3 on a metal picatinny rail?
I watched you know whose video on the tlr-3 and almost bought one. I am glad iIwatched other reviews on this light and now own a tlr-1. I like and own many Streamlight products and am vary happy with my choice. great review thank you.
Sorry to hear yours broke. I read quite a few reviews online about the possibility of it breaking, but decided to roll the dice anyways because I needed a good LED light for my XD9 Sub-Compact. A little over 500rds of 9mm fired with the light attached, and mine is still going strong. Either I got lucky with mine, or they did something smart like use a better or stronger polymer. Hows your new light holding up?
I wish I could help. Maybe someone else can pipe in here.
What would fit well on a rail/pic system thats about 20 mm long? I have a stoeger cpugar 8045
@nukedude Yeah, the TLR-3 they sent me as a replacement HAS held up, but I wouldn't trust it with my life. The TLR-1 and 2 I would trust..
