ADDED JANUARY 3RD 2018,   TO: CUTLERYLOVER—-I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE PROBLEM WAS MY THREE SF123A BATTERIES WERE LOW ENOUGH TO ONLY LET THE LOW LIGHT PORTION WORK,THERE WASN'T ENOUGH BATTERY POWER TO LET MY HI-SETTING FIRE ON,I CHANGED BATTERIES AND EVERYTHING BACK TO 1OO% WORKING ORDER.I MYSELF THINK THIS IS A GOOD QUALITY FLASHLIGHT,AND JUST DEPEND ON THE QUALITY OPERATION EVERYTIME I HIT THE BUTTON,I BOUGHT THIS FLASHLIGHT FROM THE FIRST RESPONDERS ( POLICE -FIRE&MILITARY) STORE HERE IN KANSAS CITY MO.

Mine came in the setting of high, low, strobe and for some reason I cannot change/program the darn thing. I have watched several vids on how to. But on the tenth press and hold. It never shuts off. I have tried a full press to click and I have tried the half press and hold. Now I have the protac 1L. Running a AA Duracell. If anyone has any tips I would be very great full. I just want high only…

Nice video on your part. I do take issue with streamlight's programing, it self. Why is there no "strobe only". Working military, security, LEO, I'm annoyed there is no "strobe only" when they have those other settings. My old OLD blackhawk Gladius, the first strobing LED on the market as I recall, has a strode only setting. Only 90 lumen and no focus on the beam…but it was the first or one of them. How can a nice light, at this year NOT have that feature? Disappointing.

Regardless, your video DID show me exactly what I wanted to know about the product. I did contact streamlight in e-mail to find out, but it's good to "see" something in action to make sure there is on confusion.

For people considering to buy it of course. They don't have the manual.

Is the programming the same for the streamlight 1aa?

mine is stuck in low but i think its the batteries. i played with it for like 4 days on high and strobe mode lol.

i tried and my light just stays in one mode and thats low. and when i try to program it, it doesn't even shut off on the tenth time when i hold it down. could my batteries be low ??

Streamlight…good stuff, I own several…dozen.  Keychain, pocket, EDC, tactical, hunting, pistol light/laser,  headlamps…  My EDC is a Protac 2TL, and a Protac HL is right next to my pistol at night. At work a Strion rechargeable and a Double Clutch( USB rechargeable) get used all day fixin' cars. On my keychain is a LOGO mini light. At home and in my truck the Stinger HP is ready to light up a deer or intruder.  The prices are higher than the imports, Thrunite, Olight, Fenix, etc…, but the quality is great and the warranty is greater never had to pay for a repair or replacement.

Does this work on all the pro tacs??? I have the pro Tac 2AA and it didn't work at first. I may have don it wrong but I don't think so. Just wondering if you knew?

Interesting. Can't buy a flashlight that good in Aus. The general population is all: buy Chinese and Taiwanese, and get everything for the cheapest price.. So major suppliers won't even think of shipping in Thrunite flashlights, I haven't seen any of them in any store in au..

This video is for the people who shouldn't own this light. If you need to watch a video to program your light you got problems you need to work though. That's why you keep your instructions.

thanks man, just used this to program my protac 2L worked great, got it on the low/high mode. this is great because my light kept going to strobe mode when i only wanted to go to high. cool to turn off the strobe for me.
