  1. Got it used, went to a gun shop and they said dismantle the hex screw and a bunch of other stuff. Glad I came here before field stripping it in a million pieces for batteries.

  2. Thanks much for a very helpful video, and streamlight people, if you read this, shame on you for making such shitty vague instructions on how to open such a tricky mechanism. Pretty sad that you have to go find a third party to tell you how to open this thing up…glad I found this video.

  3. THANK YOU!!! Been struggling with trying to figure out how to open the battery chamber on my TLR-2 HLG… The pictogram was not clear that the metal piece should be lifted and pushed back…they need two arrows – one for lift up and one for pushing metal piece back to open the battery chamber. I was getting to the point of maybe sending back – but it seems so valuable for my Mossberg 500 tactical home defense shotgun. Thank you so much for thinking of us fellow travelers…

  4. I spent 4 hours trying to figure out how to open this thing after reading the instructions in 2 languages. The manual NEVER stated that there is a HOOK in the bottom and that you needed to lift UP – the manual says to SWING and they INCORRECTLY show that it swings to the RIGHT. I was so frustrated, I was about to throw this thing in the trash can and get a refund. THANK YOU. The manufacturer ought to be ASHAMED of themselves for not explaining this. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for posting this. Can you teach the manufacturer how to PUT this on their Web Site and correct their manual? OMG! Thank you!
