Follow up. Day 3. Still waiting for someone at CMMG to get back to me on the mag issue. I've also sent 5 e-mails, with no response. I was able to hold the mag in with my support hand & for those 5 shots it was fun. But 5 shots, 2 FTE, 1 FTE & a double feed. I checked the mag when I picked it up at my FFL. An empty mag is no problem. with a round in the mag, there is a problem. However, when you pick up the gun, you are not allowed to put ammo in the mag & test it.
I pick up this gun a few days ago. same mag issue. 1st, it will NOT stay in the well. I have to hold the mag & press upwards. 2nd FTF & FTE, double feeds. stove pipes, took 3 shots & the mag fell out. I've found that this is a big problem for CMMG. $1000+ gun, $1.00 mag. They don't seem to put any quality control into the mag area. Called CMMG, first thing the guy said was: "Oh NO, not another mag problem." For the few shots I get get off, I had no problems with the way the gun handled or fired, but what good is a gun that won't hold the mag. I have a big paper weight. Very disappointed in CMMG.
