I ship my ammo to my brother house when I do dry fire practice. 3000 round is expensive to ship! I think its cheaper to do live fire practice… but not safer lol. Great video and A+ for the safety check . I grew up that the safety for a gun was the four rules, your finger and your brain.

How do you rack and lock it first?

Great info but when you folks cannot even get the flag in the correct position on the instructors right sleeve it is hard to take any instruction because the lack of attention to detail.

Does it matter in storage if the bolt is forward?

With a live round in the chamber all that "checking to see" is just asking for accident with inexperienced shooters.

Press checking an AR is more likely to INDUCE a malfunction than to avoid one.

If you're at the range then why is it so critical to press check? Wouldn't doing all those extra steps cause bad habits that could be carried over to gun fight.

I hadn't had trouble till I bought some Hexmag's. Never even thought about it really, with Magpul's. The Hex won't consistently click in without the bolt back (on a LWRC). Thought's?

Out of curiosity, why do you touch your finger to the top of the magazine in order to check which side the bullets on, why does it matter?

Assuming you hadn't already passed a round through the rifle, you would need to pull the charging handle before inserting the magazine correct? THX 🙂

You guys have figured more ways of fucking up than anything I could have possibly imagined.  How 'bout just pulling the trigger, if it doesn't fire, cycle the charging handle again…..its really much faster and much less chance of making more mistakes when you release the mag, put your finger on to see if it stripped the right or left round…..oh my God!  There are at least 3 fuck ups you could make in every operation you've outlined.  Quit fuckin' with every button and every magazine you lay your hands on and just shoot the gun.  It's a gun, its not that hard to shoot.  If it doesn't shoot, its not that hard to fix.

Wow, even invented a new word for this "designed to fuck up move"  You call it Administrative Load & Unload….what the hell is the difference between a regular "load and unload?"  Stop IT!

You don't have to, but it ensures that your magazine is latched onto the catch. I have down this before where I put a magazine weakly, I rack the action and it falls out.

Are you supposed to slap the bottom of the magazine?
