Is it possible to do what you did here in reverse, I bought a 300 blk ar15 and was wondering if you can convert it from .300 blk to 5.56?
Amazing tutorial! Thank you
When I get my rifle I'm just going to buy or build a 300 Blackout Upper.
About how much for one of those barrels?
Weak round!
Can I Convert my AR15 in .223 WYLDE?
Man I love you guys videos. Thanks
So I'm doing a new build on a 300bkackout. It has a 10 inch barrel but I didn't buy a 300 blackout upper. The upper and lower receiver are both 556/223 standard but from what I'm reviewing here that's okay? I don't need a 300 acc upper receiver? If that's true before I finish is there anything else I may need to do to make thing flow properly?
Aren't you supposed to apply grease to the barrel and barrel nut threads before seating it and tightening? Such as Aeroshell or some sort of moly grease?
I've heard that you shouldn't use the same bolt that you use on your .223/5.56 barrel with your .300 BLK barrel. Is there any merit to this?
Headspace gauges are required, but torque wrench is optional?
Never had a fully chambered barrel with excessive or too little headspace. I have had issues with out of spec uppers that required as many as 75 foot pounds to align the nut beyond the minimum of 25. Pretty hard to measure those values without a torque wrench.
