The Streamlight ProTac 1 Rail Mount Weapon Light sure does give people an option other than a SureFire Scout. With a $100 price tag, the Streamlight ProTac 1 Rail Mount Weapon Light is a economical weapon light for people unable to spend $300+ for a SureFire Scout. This Streamlight ProTac 1 Rail Mount Weapon Light also give people a non-combat option. Mine has been banged around and has held up with no issues. I cannot speak if the Streamlight ProTac 1 Rail Mount Weapon Light is combat ready, but for a home/personal defense option it is perfect. At 350 lumens it provides enough light for home defense, and enough for people with lots of land like ranchers with a light that will get out there past 100+ yards easily.

CaptainBerz – Check out the Cloud Defensive tape switch mount, it also has internal cable routing to hide all the excess cable.

Great review as always.
Atomic beam, 20 bucks Walmart. Fuckin rocks
Love these lights. Have them on all my long guns.
can you change lens?
Thanks for the review.
Ok, I found it. 👍
great vid man. Running the light with the chord bent at the tailcap and the tape switch will short out your wires kinda quickly.
have you tested the range outdoors? Talking about target ID with your scope on.
Looks good, but frankly, I'd move the light back from the flash suppressor/muzzle brake. Hot gasses, smoke and unburned powder can't do anything good for the light. Even one more inch to the rear would be an improvement!
Does the cable get twisted up changing batteries with the end cap not being able to spin free from the cable like the scout light?
For the money Streamlight is hard to beat. Great for guys like me that are on a budget, I have the Polytac on my AR, I carry the Microstream as my EDC light and a Polytac sitting on my night stand. As always, great video Berz!
Do you know if they've fixed some of the quality issues with the WML's? I was a fan but broke two of them with light abuse.
Don't underestimate tlr hl series with tape switch end for similar price you get 800 lumens and a smaller package. better bang for the buck in my opinion
For a $100 I am game! Vs $500. Amazon has em. Next Weapon light I am doing it!

I like the hot center. Blinding, confusing, light
If your tape doesnt hold, I was able to ream the holes out a little on the switch and used M LOK bolts and nuts to secure it to the hand guard
I have a pro tac on my LWRCI DI but it's the dual fuel version on a voltor mount
I'm not sure if you guys are aware but they have version 2 of this light called the "protac rail mount 2" which is the one I got. It's only about $20 – $30 more but you double your lumens to 630 lumens. I paid something like $125 including shipping when I got it.
It's very bright, I point into a dark room and the whole room lights up. I'm very happy with it.
I got the same light … had very good luck with it so far, and I've beat the shit outta it! happy New Years bro!
